Chapter 579: Reinforcements
Every eye went wide. No one could believe what they were seeing.
"This is —" Even Mihawk couldn't suppress a quiet sound of disbelief. "This is rather excessive."
The CP0 agents and God's Knights had cold sweat breaking out on their foreheads.
What were they looking at?
From the other direction, a man was walking forward at a stroll.
Many people here knew this man. His name was Gild Tesoro — a great merchant renowned the world over for his business acumen, a titan of wealth known as the Golden Emperor. More famous still were his achievements in film and music; the All Stars, the idol group he had built from nothing, had taken the entire world by storm.
But of course, the most striking fact about him was that he was the best friend of the man named Brett — arguably the person Brett trusted most.
Tesoro himself wasn't the point right now, though. His presence here was only natural.
What was truly staggering was what followed behind him.
Half a step behind Tesoro was a young man in a hat — blond hair, burn scars across his face, an iron pipe held in one hand.
CP0 knew his name well. Sabo. Second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army.
Behind him came the Revolutionary Army's senior leadership: the Okama King and Commander of the Grand Line Army Emporio Ivankov, Eastern Army Commander Belo Betty, Southern Army Commander Lindbergh, Western Army Commander Morley, and Northern Army Commander Karasu.
And last among them — former Warlord Bartholomew Kuma.
Even so, formidable as the Revolutionary Army was, they were still not the most astonishing thing here.
Further back.
Eight of them.
Towering, powerfully built, with curling horns on their heads and kanabō in hand, black wings spread from their backs, flames burning behind their heads.
Eight figures.
"K — Kaido??"
Pizarro couldn't stop himself from screaming. "EIGHT KAIDOS!!"
One Kaido was already a monster among monsters. And there were eight of them here?
Pizarro felt his courage abandon him entirely. How could this possibly be beaten?
"I know, truly terrifying." Yamato nodded in vigorous agreement, her expression perfectly matching his. "Eight dads — just imagining it makes my skin crawl."
Behind her, Kin'emon had quietly clenched his fist.
Beside him, Queen clicked his tongue. "That damn Vegapunk."
Using Boss Kaido as a test subject — you could tell at a glance. No matter how brilliant Vegapunk was, he absolutely could not have produced something like this without Kaido's genetic material.
But what they could do right now was focus on helping Brett defeat the people in front of them.
Honestly, that should be straightforward enough.
With this lineup on their side, what reason was there to lose?
"You can't be serious." The foremost shield's face had begun to pale. "Is that Vegapunk's Seraphim project? It actually completed successfully — under Brett's support?"
He didn't know exactly what these Seraphim were capable of. But just by looking at them, anyone could tell whose genetic material had gone into them.
This was looking bad.
Tesoro smiled, then turned to murmur quietly to the girl beside him — a girl holding a strange doll. "Little Uta — keep yourself safe, and wait for the right moment."
The girl gave a small nod. A bright, easy smile spread across her face. "Leave it to me."
Without question — given the right opening, she possessed the ability to single-handedly end the entire battle.
"Then —" Tesoro rolled his neck. Behind him, a sky full of golden sand surged upward and formed into a wave that seemed to swallow everything around it. "Begin!!"
"LET'S GO!!"
Yamato was already shifting into beast-human form, launching herself forward before anyone else. "Namuji Hyoga!!"
A breath of freezing cold came sweeping in.
Then the King of the Giants, roaring with laughter, dragging his weapon forward.
"This is the moment everything changes — let's go!"
Akainu shifted into full bombardment mode, his lower body becoming lava and shooting him upward, then dropping from the sky like a meteor.
"Fighting beside Boss Sakazuki — even I feel fired up!"
Ryokugyu burst out laughing.
The brief time together had given him genuine affection for this senior officer named Sakazuki.
"Katakuri — protect your sister." Mihawk surged forward as well.
Katakuri gave a nod and held his position. Rushing in carelessly would be a problem if Brûlée got caught.
He glanced back at the pale-faced Pizarro and the others. "If I were you, I'd understand very clearly what choice to make in a situation like this."
Pizarro gave an awkward laugh.
Then he drew a long breath.
"CHARGE!! Overthrow the World Government — freedom for the whole world!!"
The prisoners who had somehow survived the previous bombardment screamed their battle cries and threw themselves into the fight.
"Hehehehehehe! Looks like Kaido's really having a rough time of it?" Moria was in fine spirits. He laughed and joined the battle.
"The sight I've been waiting for — it's right here."
Sabo was smiling — broadly, brilliantly. The pipe in his hand had gone entirely black. "Fight! And win! And then — let our dream become reality!"
"OHHHHH!!"
The Revolutionary Army — entering the battle.
And then, the last.
Tesoro snapped his fingers. "Go."
Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh.
A rapid series of sounds — and the Seraphim behind him vanished from where they stood.
From four directions at once — front, back, left, right — four equally terrifying presences closed in simultaneously.
Even the proud commander of the God's Knights, this highborn Celestial Dragon, could not stop his body from trembling.
This —
He no longer had any idea how to win.
The battle inside the mirror world had fully erupted.
And simultaneously, outside — in the real world —
Brett and Imu's battle continued in the open sky above.
At the same moment, the war between ancient weapons had also begun.
The massive floating fortress cut across the horizon, casting its shadow over everything below.
Sea Kings formed a protective circle above Pluton, screaming toward the sky.
The cannon mouths on the underside of the floating fortress turned and took aim at the two ancient weapons below.
Above, the steel bird dove, its enormous cannon barrel already beginning to pulse with white light.
Hades fired before the floating fortress could move.
But the shot landed against the expanded barrier and triggered a massive explosion that shook the vessel — without leaving a single mark.
At the same moment, inside Pluton, a debate was happening.
"Pluton is damaged too badly — it can't maneuver properly anymore!"
"SKHAHAHAHA!! Then leave the rest to ME!!"
