A full moon glowed over the village as Sara sat near the edge of the lake, her feet dipped in cool water. Life had returned to normal—if a hybrid girl raised by vampires could ever call anything normal.
Arya and Rohan were rebuilding their cottage, planting herbs and flowers again. Viraj had taken up training young werewolves in the nearby forest.
And Sara?
She was finally feeling free.
But one quiet night changed everything again.
Sara found the stone near the lake.
It wasn't there before. Its surface shimmered like moonlight trapped in glass. Strange symbols were carved into it — glowing softly.
The moment her fingers touched it, her body froze.
A whisper echoed in her head.
"You have won your battles. But others have not. The realms are breaking. The time of the Guardians has come."
The light burst from the stone — and then faded.
Sara gasped and dropped it. Arya came running.
"Sara! What happened?"
Sara pointed at the stone. "It… spoke to me. It said the realms are breaking. It called me a Guardian."
Arya picked it up carefully. Her eyes widened. "This is a Calling Stone. I haven't seen one in hundreds of years."
"What does it mean?"
Arya's face turned serious. "It means there are worlds beyond ours — hidden magical realms. If one calls for help, it means something terrible is happening."
Sara looked down at the lake, her reflection shaking. "And they want me?"
"They know what you are. A bridge between worlds. Maybe… you're the only one who can help."
That night, Sara sat in her room, staring at the Calling Stone. She felt torn — she had just found peace, love, and purpose.
But now, a greater purpose was calling her.
Viraj knocked and entered quietly. "You're leaving, aren't you?"
Sara looked at him. "I think I have to."
He nodded, sadness in his eyes. "Then I'm coming with you."
She smiled. "Of course you are."
As dawn broke, Arya, Rohan, and Viraj stood beside Sara near the portal opening at the forest's edge.
The air shimmered like heat waves. The stone floated, spinning slowly.
"Be careful," Arya said, holding back tears. "We don't know what lies beyond."
Rohan handed her a small pouch. "Mountain ash, bloodstone, and moonroot. Just in case."
Sara hugged them both.
"Thank you… for giving me this life," she said softly.
"You made it your own," Arya whispered.
Sara took Viraj's hand. Together, they stepped into the glowing portal.
Light swallowed them.
And the forest stood still again.
But far away, in lands unseen by human eyes, a new story was beginning.
One where Sara would no longer just fight to survive…
She would fight to save worlds.
