Chapter 3: The Meeting (Third-Person POV)
Rayna stood in the glass elevator, nervously smoothing her skirt. It had been three weeks since that morning, and she'd convinced herself it was just a strange, unforgettable blip on her romantic radar.
Until her agency assigned her to a new client—Malhotra Technologies.
And now, she was heading up to the 31st floor to meet its mysterious founder.
The elevator dinged. She stepped into a boardroom made of glass and steel and intimidation—and there he was.
Aaryan.
In another perfectly tailored suit, hair neat, expression unreadable. As if he hadn't seen her half-naked and crying about penguins.
"Ms. Kapoor," he said coolly. "Nice to see you again. Professionally, this time."
She blinked.
Oh. He was playing that game.
Challenge accepted.
"Mr. Malhotra," she replied sweetly. "Let's get to work."
But work was the last thing on her mind. Especially with the way he kept looking at her like she was a puzzle he'd already solved—and wanted to mess up all over again.
