Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: The Aftermath

Rudra stood over Malakar's lifeless body, his chest heaving with exhaustion. He had done it. He had defeated the dark sorcerer and saved his sister.

But as he looked down at Malakar's corpse, Rudra felt a pang of sadness. He had never wanted to kill anyone, but he had been left with no choice.

Rudra took a deep breath and shook off the feeling. He knew that he had to get out of there, to find his sister and make sure she was safe.

He turned to leave, but as he did, he heard a faint cry. "Rudra!"

Rudra's heart leapt with joy. That was his sister's voice!

He followed the sound to a nearby cell, where he found his sister chained to the wall. She was pale and weak, but she was alive.

Rudra rushed to her side, embracing her warmly. "I'm so sorry, sis," he whispered. "I should have come sooner."

His sister smiled weakly. "You're here now," she said. "That's all that matters."

Rudra nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He had done it. He had saved his sister.

Together, they made their way out of the temple, into the bright sunlight. Rudra blinked, feeling a sense of disorientation.

As they walked away from the temple, Rudra's sister turned to him with a curious expression. "Rudra, what happened to you?" she asked. "You seem... different."

Rudra smiled wryly. "I've been through a lot," he said. "But I'm okay now."

His sister nodded, but Rudra could tell that she didn't believe him. And maybe she was right. Maybe Rudra wasn't okay.

As they walked, Rudra couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He had defeated Malakar, but at what cost?

He looked down at his hands, feeling a sense of unease. They were stained with Malakar's blood.

Rudra knew that he would never be the same again. He had crossed a line, and there was no going back.

But as he looked at his sister, he knew that it had all been worth it. He had saved her, and that's all that mattered.

Or so he thought.
