As the music swelled and the laughter of their friends grew louder, Evric leaned in, his lips brushing Zayn's ear. "Follow me," he whispered, his hand sliding into Zayn's and pulling him gently away from the head table.
Evric led him through the quiet, marble halls of the mansion to a hidden elevator. When the doors opened at the very top, Zayn gasped.
Evric transformed the rooftop into a private sanctuary.
Under the vast, starlit sky, a small circular table was set with white linen and flickering candles. The entire perimeter was lined with the same white orchids from the ceremony, their scent even more intoxicating in the cool night air. Below them, the lights of the estate twinkled like fallen stars, but up here, it was silent, just the two of them and the moon.
"I thought we had enough of the crowd," Evric murmured, leading Zayn toward the edge of the roof where a soft lounge area had been arranged.
