~Zayn's POV~
After the call ended, a thought slipped into my mind. It was only on the first day Evric arrived in Dubai that he reached out for intimacy. Since then… nothing. I knew he was busy, exhausted from work, but still… it felt strange. Evric was never the type to go more than two days without needing me; and now it had already been five days.
I tried not to let the thought weigh on me. Maybe it's the time difference. Perhaps he's just too tired. Maybe I'm overthinking. After all, it wasn't always supposed to be him who initiated things. I was allowed to tell him I needed him too.
With that reminder, I pushed the thought aside, straightened my shoulders, and carried on with work for the rest of the day.
As the day finally ended, I drove home to an empty apartment. Nantam wasn't around, Dean wasn't here, tonight, it was just me. Alone.
