Chapter 52 - When Two Calamities Crossed

Ningyue didn't stand like a human.

She hung in the air—a pale, lifeless marionette suspended by invisible threads. Her limbs too light. Her movements too smooth. Her face too still.

It reeked of annihilation.

And her body—

Her body bent at an angle no living spine could tolerate, her head tilting as though an invisible puppeteer pulled her strings with bored cruelty. Her hair hung straight down despite the violent wind, each strand dripping dark qi like ink falling into water.

Her presence alone warped the air—space around her twisted, pulling, spiraling, as if reality itself recoiled.

Every breath she exhaled erased existence.

The stone beneath her feet cracked, turned gray, then quietly vanished.

Dark qi poured from her in thick coils, spreading across the ground like hungry sharks.Anything the smoke touched—

ceased to exist.

Not burned. Not melted. Not turned to ash.

Just…gone.

Stones, moss, bone fragments—all dissolved the instant her aura brushed them.

Her fingers curled, each nail glowing with a sickening dark-purple flame, poisonous and cold, the kind of flame that devoured life, not heat.

Her eyes—

They were no longer eyes.

Pupils pitch black.Irises bleeding violet.A doll possessed by something that hated the living.

Han Tianci felt his breath harden in his chest.

Even demons would fear a creature like this.

He didn't retreat.

Thunder exploded around him, his body slipping sideways like a silver eel cutting through a river of lightning. Bolts danced across his arms and spine, coiling around him like strands of living light.

His spear shot forward, point first, wrapped in yang thunder hot enough to sear the rain into steam.

He aimed directly at her heart.

The strike could have split a mountain.

It hit square in her chest.

For anyone else, that would've been the end.

Instead—she smiled.

A slow, unnatural, broken smile.

Her jaw clicked once.

Her voice cracked the air:

"Yin–Yang Reversal."

The world folded inside out.

Han Tianci's thunder—the pure yang lightning that should have burned her to ash—bent backward.

Not deflected.

Not redirected.

Reversed.

Corrupted by her qi in an instant, the bolt snapped back toward him as a dark-purple flash.

Han Tianci barely twisted away—

But not fast enough.

The corrupted thunder slammed into his left arm.

B O O O M

CRACK—!!!!!

His arm detonated from the inside.Muscle shredded.Skin vaporized.Only bare bone remained, splintered and trembling.

Yet he didn't drop his spear.

He switched grips, swinging the weapon one-handed.Blood sprayed, instantly burned away by his own lightning. His body blurred again—

The eel returning to the storm.

Ningyue's doll-like neck turned unnaturally, following his movements with no sense of human limitation.

She met him mid-air.

Her hand brushed the cavern wall—and half the cavern vanished, devoured by her aura.

Han Tianci's spear grazed her rib.

She hissed.

Black liquid spilled from the wound—not blood, but writhing shadow.

She grabbed a withered tree root sticking from the wall.

It dissolved.

She inhaled the dissolving ashless nothing.

Her wounds knitted back together.

Ningyue licked her Fingers stained with blood.

Like tasting fruit.

Her voice was low:

"How sweet, Han Tianci."

His vision dimmed for a split second.

A wave of weakness hit him.

She hadn't touched him.

She simply drank part of his life from across the air.

Han Tianci snarled:

"Over my corpse."

Thunder wrapped him again.

They vanished—colliding across the cavern in bursts of blue and purple, each impact tearing another chunk out of the mountain.

Outside—the stone lion statue sprinted forward to help—

Only to be obliterated mid-charge, flung backward like a toy.

The four cultivators riding it were thrown through the air screaming.

The lion roared, stumbling to its feet, golden light flaring as it formed a protective barrier around the group. The cultivators slammed their hands onto the lion's back, pouring qi into the barrier.

Trees uprooted around them.Boulders ripped free from the ground.Everything not protected was hurled aside by the battle's shockwaves.

Inside the collapsing mountain—

Ningyue spread her arms.

Her voice split the earth:

"Dark Crow."

Her qi burst outward—

Smoke twisting into the shape of a monstrous crow with endless wings, feathers made of void, eyes burning in purple fire.

Han Tianci planted his spear.

Thunder howled.

His voice tore through the storm:

"DEVIL MONKEY!"

Lightning condensed—twisting into the form of a colossal monkey with crackling fur, eyes like twin suns,a roar deeper than dragons.

The two avatars faced each other—

Crow of the Underworld.Monkey of Heavenly Wrath.

For a second—all of creation held its breath.

Then—

BAAAAAAAAAAANG—!!!!!!

A sphere of devastation erupted outward, vaporizing stone, sky, earth.

The world exploded.

Fire. Thunder. Shadow. Light.Mountains flattened.Forests uprooted. The sky tore open like paper.

The shockwave swallowed everything.

Stone lion.Cultivators.Trees.Hill.Clouds.

Everything that dared exist was thrown screaming into chaos.

And in the heart of that annihilating bloom—

Two silhouettes collided one final time.
