The young man turned his eyes to the TV, saw that it was the news channel and looked down to the bottom right in the sector where they put the time and date.
-What? I don't believe you?
What the young man was seeing was… The time on the television was 2:13 PM, or in the afternoon.
"About six hours passed. I can't believe I slept so long. I was supposed to start work at 9:30 AM. What am I going to do now?"
As he hurriedly put on his shoes, he remembered.
"It's true! What was that light? A scroll? Did it say something?"
The young man finished eating the buns and headed to the bathroom. As he entered, he heard a very loud scream from inside.
"What? Is this a dream?"
The young man was seen standing in front of the mirror. What he saw wasn't the mirror, but what he saw with his own eyes. He saw the scroll…
Several minutes passed. The young man was paralyzed with fear and couldn't move. He repeatedly read what was written on it: "The chosen one has been... you."
He was trying to analyze what it meant, but still, he didn't understand anything.
What happened next was what triggered what he thought was happening. It wasn't a dream. When he turned his head and looked at his right arm, he saw several fangs embedded around his wrist, and a tattoo parallel to them, a zigzag line around his wrist, but it was a single line.
The young man touched his wrist with his left hand, and what he thought was there wasn't.
"Is it a toy? No, no, no, it can't be, it's bone."
As he touched and placed his sweaty fingers on the wrist, he could feel fangs emerging from the arm bone…
"It's solid, it's quite hard, fangs emerging from my arm."
The young man's blood pressure dropped and he fainted, falling to the bathroom floor. Approximately 10 minutes passed, and he managed to wake up. When he got up, he walked to the living room and sat down. His blood pressure stabilized, as did his heart rate, returning to normal.
"Ha ha, it's not bad, it looks good cosmetically."
The young man laughed nervously, trying to see something positive in what had just happened and not go crazy.
He sat there for a long time, but out of nowhere, he heard a glass breaking. It was the window breaking.
The young man immediately got up and stood in the corner of the living room. After looking around to see if he could record anything, he managed to see something moving, but he couldn't tell what it was.
"What? What is it?"
The young man wonders, frightened, until he sees a shadow move across the ground. He hears a noise that makes his eardrums ring and closes his eyes. When he opens them, he sees a projection of what the shadow is, moving quickly back and forth. On the projection, he sees a small rabbit, with an arrow that says "Details." Several words appear, such as "Level: 1"
[Threat Level: 1]
[Abilities: None]
And at the bottom of the projection, there is an option to "Eliminate Threat"…
"What? Eliminate Threat? Yes."
Just by thinking "yes," the option was pressed, the projection disappeared, but another projection immediately appeared: "Mission Accepted"
"Time Limit: 2:30 minutes"
"What is this? Mission Accepted?"
From the young man's right hand, which had sprouted fangs, a dagger appeared holographic ally, in an 8-bit style, frame by frame, ending with a dagger with a fang on each side of the handle.
The projection changed, showing a large counter of 2:30 minutes. A second had passed, and the counter began to change: 2:29, 2:28.
The projection showed something else; at the bottom it said…
[Punishment: The Penitence]
"What do I have to do? A rabbit? Eliminate it? Kill it? If I don't, am I punished? Penitence? What does it mean? Am I going to die? If I don't eliminate it, will I die?"
Without thinking, the young man threw himself to the floor. With a great leap, he crossed under the table, grabbing the dagger with both hands. A scream could be heard, the rabbit's scream. The rabbit had been pierced by the dagger…
The only thing that could be heard in the house was the young man's steady breathing. The young man lying lengthwise with his arms outstretched, clutching a dagger that was piercing a rabbit. This wasn't what the young man had planned to do today.
Seconds after what happened, another projection appeared.
[Mission Completed]

The boy dropped the dagger and tried to get up, but as he did, the side of his ribs hurt.
[I fell badly. I think I cracked a rib.]
Out of nowhere, a projection appeared showing an image of a splintered rib with an option that said "Heal"… The young man pressed the option and suddenly felt no pain.
When he stood up, another projection appeared showing a large "Warning" and below…
"If you don't complete daily quests, you will be punished."
The confused young man only said two words: "Daily Quests." And the projection changed its title. It now said that and showed the set of quests.
