They felt it before they saw it.
Infirmary windows cracked.Owls refused to enter the tower. And the stars above the Astronomy Wing blinked out — one by one.
Somewhere beneath the school, something was building itself.
Not in flesh.
But in reflection.
The Forge Below
The Mirror — still in the Great Hall — began leaking silver light.
Not glowing.
Bleeding.
A figure formed inside its glass — slowly, painfully.Piece by piece, stitched together from shattered versions:
Blaise, if he'd accepted the flame completely.
Theo, if he'd betrayed Luna to survive.
Harry… if he had never chosen love.
The Mirror spoke to it:
"You are what they would become if mercy had never touched them.""You are strength without doubt.Legacy without conscience.
You are the Correction."
Rowan Senses It
At the same moment, Rowan's mark burned black.
She collapsed during a ritual at the Heartstone.
Theo and Luna caught her as the runes around her began to spiral.
"It's not the Mirror anymore," Rowan gasped."It's what's inside it."
Theo's voice was low.
"The reflection… wants to walk freely."
Rowan:
"No. It wants to rewrite him.
And it's starting with someone we know."
The Twist: The Champion is Familiar
The Mirror's body stepped free from the glass by midnight.
Not a stranger.
Not a monster.
But Draco Malfoy.
Or at least… what Draco might've becomeif Tom Riddle had claimed him young.
His eyes glowed silver and hollow. His wand was shaped from broken prophecy glass. And when he spoke, it wasn't with his voice.
"I am not Draco.""I am what your story tried to forget."
"And I will bring order back to Hogwarts."
Final Scene – The First Stand
Harry entered the Hall just as the Mirror behind him shattered completely.
The light extinguished.
Draco stood in its place, backlit by smoke and symbols.
"What are you?" Harry whispered.
Draco smiled faintly.
"Your shadow.
The version of this war where you don't win."
