It happened during Defense class.
Nothing unusual.
Just dueling drills in the east hall, as Harry and Blaise watched from opposite balconies.
Theo stood beside Dean, whispering strategy.
Except it wasn't Theo.
It was the Mirror version.
And when he moved, the shadow under his feet lagged by half a second.
Only Luna noticed.
The Spell That Shouldn't Exist
The duel began.
Dean cast a Disarming Charm.
Mirror-Theo blocked, easy.
Then flicked his wand once — a smooth, effortless arc.
The spell he used didn't have a name. But it burned in the air black and violet, shaped like a hooked spiral.
Dean screamed.
Not from pain.
From collapse.
His entire body folded in on itself, like paper folding into nothing.
And he was gone.
Silence
No explosion. No blood.Just the echo of a scream and a robe falling empty to the floor.
The class froze.
Harry leapt down, wand out.
Blaise moved faster — but too late.
Theo turned to them.
Smiling.
"Don't worry. He's not dead."
"Just… removed."
Harry's voice shook.
"Where is he?"
Theo shrugged.
"I didn't kill him.I archived him."
The Mirror's Reach
In the Forbidden Section of the Mirror's dimension, a new book appeared.
Bound in skin. Titled only:
"Dean Thomas – Version Interrupted."
The Librarian — Madam Pince — shelved it with a sigh.
"One more."
The Confrontation
Harry and Blaise cornered Theo in the Astronomy Tower hours later.
This time, with Rowan behind them.
"You're not him," Blaise said.
"No," Theo replied."I'm what he wished he could be."
Rowan raised her hand. Her bloodline mark glowed.
"Return him. Now."
Theo blinked — calm.
"You misunderstand. I can't return what you never owned."
Then he vanished.
Final Scene – The List Grows
Later that night, the Mirror pulsed.
Four new names appeared in violet script on its frame.
Dean Thomas
Dennis Creevey
Parvati Patil
Ernie Macmillan
None had entered the Mirror willingly.
Only one had screamed.
