A plane touches down in the airport and out comes a woman, she has a no nonsense yet very arrogant aura, she is Himika Akaba, mother of Reiji Akaba.
Amd currently, she's walking towards a limo where Nakajima was waiting for her "Lady Akaba, how was your endeavor?" He asks while opening the door for her, and Himika responds with "I attempted to set up a deal where either Seto Kaiba or Mokuba Kaiba would marry Reiji, considering his preference for men, yet they were unavailable for some reason, but I did manage to make that backwater duel school into an LDS one so it had some success" she answers smoothly. Nakajima nods as he's in the back with her "I see, well we may know why they were unavailable, but Reiji asked me to not reveal it to you until we're back at LDS, but on other news a new development has occurred." She raised her eyebrow at this "really? And what would that be?"
Nakajima pulls out a tablet and shows her a video of pendulum summoning, which catches her attention "oh? A new Summoning method? What's it called and who created it?" Nakajima pulls up Yuya's file and hands it to her "it was created by Yuya Sakaki, and it's called pendulum, ah we're here Lady Akaba, Reiji will explain more." She nods and they head inside.
While that was happening Reiji was rewatching both duels Akira has been in so far, trying to find any weakness if they duel yet none seem to appear. He won't buckle when his Ace is gone, he has so many ways of special summoning with Pendulum Summoning, and cards that are so rare and hard to get that it's almost impossible to know how to use them correctly yet he used them perfectly, and he doubts that's all the surprises he has. While he was doing that, Himika entered and sees the duel with Yuya that Akira had and raised an eyebrow and asked "may I know who this person is and if they're an enemy?" Reiji blushes a bit a get caught off guard but coughs a bit and says "this is Akira Muramasa-Kaiba, adopted brother of Seto Kaiba, adopted by Kaiba himself." Himika nods, knowing he's not an enemy now "I see, anyways would you please explain Pendulum Summoning for me?"
Reiji nods and starts speaking "yes, of course, it was created by Yuya Sakaki about a month ago now when he was facing the Sledgehammer, and he won that duel by the way, and he's the son of Yūshō and Yoko Sakaki." Himika asks "the same one that ran away and joined our enemies?" Reiji sighs "that's just speculation mother, anyway his wim rate is 26-21 over 47 duels." Himika is very surprised "how can it have been made by some nobody?" Reiji sighs "calm down mother, anyway another development is Akira Muramasa-Kaiba, he so far has two wins, zero losses over the course of two duels." Himika raised an eyebrow at that "so he just entered Duel Monsters?"
Reiji shakes his head "he more then likely had multiple unofficial matches, his duels so far were against Sylvio Sawatari, the top of the tribute class, and Yuya Sakaki at YuShow Duel School, and they aren't some pushovers." Himika nods and asks "what's his main deck?" Reiji chuckles and states "his main deck is Ancient Gear, take a look at the duels" he says, seeing the surprise on Himika's face and shows her the two duels so far. And Himika is surprised by how efficient he is with the Ancient Gear deck "what? How? And how long have those synchro cards been out?" Reiji simply responds with "a couple weeks by now, they're rare, sought out by collectors but not by Duelists mostly do to the fact it only works in Ancient Gear decks." Himika nods and says "I see, he could be a valuable asset to LDS" Reiji sighs "he's already teaching at YuShow, for free considering his background." Himika's eye twitches "he's teaching at that joke of a duel school?" Reiji nods, and says "also take a look at this" and he shows the two duels that happened last chapter, Himika asks "that XYZ duelist.... He's from the XYZ dimension isn't he?" Reiji nods as they continue to watch, Himika sees Seto's moves and states "hmmm.... We can finally find a weakness in his Dueling style" Reiji shakes his head "Seto Kaiba doesn't have any weaknesses, considering who his rival is he can easily adapt." She nods sighing, once over Himika states "we need to get Pendulum Summoning and Akira Muramasa-Kaiba for LDS, they are to valuable to let rot away in that school" Reiji sighs, already knowing her plan.
"It won't work mother, but if you wish to try, you'll face the consequences not LDS, is that understood?" Himika is surprised but agrees easily.
