General Grievous is looking right at you. What do you do?
*
Ahh, here he was. Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the flesh. He's one of the goats of Star Wars, and quite powerful at that. He fought toe-to-toe with Anakin Skywalker at the height of the Clone Wars, causing significant damage to him, and in turn, caused Anakin to become "Darth Vadar". If there was one person to study the Force under, it would be this guy. But I don't think I can ask such a thing under the current circumstances now, can I? Hell, I don't even know if I'm force-sensitive or not. I don't want to approach the Jedi Temple, like at all. Those guys have a code I don't want to be tied down with. So even if I asked to learn the Force under Obi-Wan, I doubt he'll even listen to the request.
For the time being, I can at least appear amicable, and present myself in a favorable position. I helped Master Yoda escape Rugosa, so he isn't doubting my skills. Yet, I could see a hint of worry in his eyes. It was nice to meet Captain Rex too. Among the clones, he's one of the more prominent ones. He'll serve as a nice bridge for me to reach the other clones. After all, like I previously brought up, I do want to get in touch with Clone Force 99.
Clone Force 99 isn't your typical clone trooper squadron. They're known as the Bad Batch, and they would even go on to get their own show, aptly named, the Bad Batch. An honorary sequel to the Clone Wars, as it takes up right after Clone Wars ending. Since I'm in the Clone Wars now, if I get acquainted with these guys during these couple of years, it should give me a good foothold. In particular, I want to acquaint myself with Omega. She should be around eleven or twelve, right now?
You see, Omega is different from other clones. She is classified as Clone Omega, a first-generation clone. But most importantly, she is unaltered. She has no mutated genes or anything. The only thing those scientists spliced was Omega's gender. She's the only female clone known to exist, and quite the perfect one at that. Perfect genes, and nothing enhanced. She ages just like any other human at a normal rate. Omega is in a very similar position to me, except I was juiced like no tomorrow. Like two opposites to a coin. One pure. One muddled.
There aren't a whole lot of trusty Kaminoans, but there is one I do recall that trusts Omega more than anyone else. And that is Nala Se. Should I try to land a job at Planet Kamino? Or should I start interacting with other members of the future Bad Batch? Most of them are normal clones, just with some slight defects. They still age twice as quickly, so they should be around twenty or thirty here. I'm not sure which approach is the best way to go about this.
I don't think I need to worry about it right now. If a chance does arise, I'll grasp it. But until then, I need to figure out where I want to start taking work. And guess what?
"Is this something you can speak with a bounty hunter? Or is the matter sensitive?", I asked, wanting to be sure. "You said the more hands the better, so a part of me thinks this isn't such an easy case. Are you going deep into enemy territory or something? You know, if the Jedi Council has you tied down, I could go in and do some recon. I know I haven't received payment, but our first contract is done and over. You see, my specialty is infiltration, not combat.", I continued, drawing the couple of Jedi's and clone's attention back toward me.
I didn't say too much about my abilities, just about what I can potentially do. And if this battle is what I'm thinking of, then this would align quite well to this particular skill set. Infiltration that is. And guess who has a cloaked gunship? I could quite literally go all the way to the Separatists undetected. At least I think I can.
"You know Master, that doesn't sound like a half-bad idea. We're currently tied up holding our convoys. I highly doubt the High Council will approve us to head out on a rescue mission that we don't even know they're still alive or not.", A voice said, still holding its youthful vigor. We were all attracted to the center, the holotable flickered to life. Holograms appeared in the center above, and it wasn't just one figure. A rather youthful Anakin Skywalker appeared, another goat of Star Wars. You know, before he turned to the dark side.
It's all a downward spiral from here.
But the character next to him is who I was more interested in. Ahsoka Tano, newly appointed Padawan to Anakin. He does have a seat on the Jedi High Council, in a same position to both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Plo Koon, but for whatever reason, the council doesn't elect him Jedi Master. He stays a Knight, and never ascends into a higher rank. In return, his bond grows deeper with Chancellor Palpatine to the point of no return. His change to Darth Vader was a result of this growing distrust.
It's still early. But they have no idea who I am right now, apart from that I'm an external force who is willing to help in this second mission. They don't know that I know most of the Star Wars timeline. At least major events. I'm really grateful that I watched most of its shows and movies in my previous life. If I hadn't I'd probably be a wreck already, haha! Star Wars isn't your typical world to cross into. It spans thousands and thousands of history throughout a gigantic galaxy. There aren't a lot of sci-fi fantasy stories to begin with. Star Wars is pretty high up there when it comes to exploration. It's really hard to know what point in time catches your fancy.
I could have spawned in much earlier during the first movie, the Phantom Menace when Anakin was a kid, but that didn't happen. The Anakin I see on this hologram appears to be around nineteen or twenty years old. It would only be a year or two before he is secretly wed to Padme. As for Ahsoka, she should be around fourteen here, I think? If there was one bad thing, it was that they're on holograms right now. Which meant they weren't here in person. It might still be a while till I come across these guys formally.
I saw Obi-Wan turn his head to look at these holograms. Anakin could be seen crossing his arms. I also saw Ahsoka clearly worried, acting as if something terrible had happened.
"We were just in the middle of something. How nice of you to drop by, Anakin. As you can see Master Yoda is safe and sound and we are currently escorting the Toydarian King back to Coruscant as we speak. We just had a little bit of unexpected help, and we were in the process of wiring their payment.", Obi-Wan responded, shifting back to what initially happened since I came on board.
You heard Obi-Wan correct. We had departed the Coral Moon of Rugosa, and wandered beyond Planet Toydaria. I didn't immediately leave. Master Yoda was gracious enough to let Adam dock my gunship inside this cruiser for the time being. I kept it cloaked, so only Master Yoda knows of its existence, as well as the three clones that I bonded with. No one else knows of it right now. It will likely come up in discussion seeing where this will go, but I consider my gunship one of my trump cards. After all, it has an entire separate weapon system that's also infused with Chozo tech. And the best part? Adam can operate it without me needing to lift a finger.
Not a lot of time had passed since our departure, but they allowed me to stay on here for over a week while we continued transit. I only reported to Obi-Wan once before they let me go about my own way. Not until they received some unexpected movements, which is what you see now. A call with Master Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, me, Anakin and Ahsoka.
"Unexpected help? From who?", Anakin said, clearly surprised.
Seriously, it hasn't even been a month since I crossed into Star Wars. Only a couple weeks at most. But here I am, already meeting more major characters!
I simply saw Anakin Skywalker turn toward the side with Obi-Wan gesturing his finger. He soon locked his eyes with mine. Well, beneath my helmet that is, haha!
