"Two five billion Berries Great Pirates?"
The remaining six Supernovas, along with countless Pirate Crew members, stared at the two different manifestations of Shirogai, their expressions sinking into despair.
It already felt impossible to defeat one.
Facing two at the same time felt like a cruel joke.
"How did he split into two?" Kid growled, his hands forming massive steel muzzles aimed at both figures. "Is this also a Devil Fruit ability?"
Even Kid, known for his arrogance, no longer had any confidence left in his eyes.
He was brutal and irritable, not foolish.
Being crushed repeatedly by Shirogai like a helpless child had already shattered his pride. Worse still, several members of his crew had died right in front of him.
That hatred burned deep.
Yet, standing before two extreme Logia abilities, Kid felt genuine confusion for the first time.
Could anyone truly defeat such a monster?
"Do not panic," Bege said coldly, pulling two pistols from his body. "If he split himself, it means he cannot handle us all at once."
He sneered, sweeping his gaze across the others.
"There are six of us and only two of him. Three against one. I will handle the magma version. Who is coming with me?"
The Supernovas exchanged glances, silently steeling their resolve.
"Then let us fight!" Kid roared, raising both arms.
Metal surged violently, forming two massive fists above him shaped like sharp bull horns.
Bang!
The fists slammed together as Kid bared his teeth at the red haired Shirogai below, whose presence felt even more oppressive than his own.
"The red haired one is mine!"
Killer moved instantly, stepping forward without a word, twin blades flashing at his wrists. Where Kid went, Killer followed.
"Fine," Drake said after a brief pause, drawing his longsword. "My ability is countered by fire. I will take the Ice Ice Fruit user."
Law nodded, gripping Kikoku firmly.
"I will face the white one."
Urouge laughed deeply, resting his heavy stone pillar on his shoulder.
"Then the white haired one belongs to me."
In mere moments, the Supernovas divided their targets.
…
"You are slow," the magma coated Shirogai said disdainfully.
He stood atop flowing magma, looking down at them as if they were insects.
"Have you finished choosing? Who is coming to die first?"
Kid's feet hardened with Armament Haki as he clenched his fists.
"You have waited long enough," Kid snarled. "Let us see that confidence when we crush you!"
Bege's feet were also coated in Armament Haki as he faced the white haired Shirogai.
"Hmph. I will deal with you quickly."
Yet while speaking, Bege's eyes flickered sideways, measuring Kid and Killer.
He sneered inwardly.
I never planned to fight this monster. I was dragged into this mess.
All I need is an opening.
Earlier, when magma erupted, Bege had already absorbed his entire crew into his body. As the user of the Castle Castle Fruit, his body functioned as a fortress, capable of housing his subordinates safely within.
"Listen carefully," Bege commanded from within.
"The moment the fight begins, release the smoke and retreat. Let those two idiots stall him. We escape and survive."
"Yes, Godfather," his subordinates responded.
…
On the frozen street.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
Three figures landed heavily on the ice, their feet coated in Armament Haki to prevent instant freezing.
Death Surgeon Law.
Former Marine Rear Admiral Drake.
Mad Monk Urouge.
The white haired Shirogai regarded them silently, pale eyes calm beneath pristine brows.
"Have you prepared yourselves for death?" he asked evenly.
"We will see who dies," Law replied lightly.
He placed his palm on the ground.
"ROOM!"
A transparent white space expanded rapidly, enclosing part of the frozen street.
"I will move first," Law said without looking back. "Follow after me. Stay clear of my blade."
Tap tap tap.
Law advanced swiftly across the ice, closing the distance without hesitation.
Then something unexpected happened.
Urouge suddenly leapt away.
Without a word, he bounded off the ice and ran along the nearby building, retreating toward the distance.
"He ran?" Drake exclaimed in disbelief, yet he continued advancing.
Law's lips curled into a cold, knowing smile.
"I expected that."
"Slaughterhouse."
Whoosh!
In an instant, space twisted.
Urouge, who had already fled far away, reappeared directly in front of Shirogai, while Law replaced him at his former position.
"What?" Urouge blinked, confusion flashing across his face.
He barely had time to react before Shirogai raised a frost condensed hand.
"Ice Age."
This is bad.
Urouge's pupils shrank violently.
"Haaaa!"
Roaring, he swung his massive stone pillar downward with all his strength.
Shirogai's palm met the pillar effortlessly.
Crack crack crack.
Ice spread instantly along the weapon, climbing Urouge's arm and enveloping his entire body.
In less than a heartbeat, the Mad Monk became a frozen statue, locked in place.
Law used the opening without hesitation, retreating rapidly with his crew.
Only a brief message remained for Drake.
"Sorry, Drake. You are on your own."
"Damn it!"
Drake clenched his four bladed axe and longsword, fury burning in his eyes as he faced the approaching white haired Shirogai.
He did not know whether he was cursing Urouge for fleeing, or Law for using another man as bait.
