Chapter 3 - The Oath

With his sword raised high, pointing it like a challenge toward the throne of the Elder God, Vyrian Orestes stood at the cliff's edge. Towering waves broke beneath him. The winds surged, the sea roared, but his voice cut through it all.

"I, Vyrian Orestes, son of Zenobios Orestes, the First Will!"

The world fell silent. The ocean hushed, the winds died, even time seemed to stop. The universe itself paused to hear a son's defiance against his father, the Elder God.

The silence only sharpened his rage. He spoke again, louder, his voice trembling with grief and fury carried across eons.

"I, Vyrian Orestes, son of Zenobios Orestes, the First Will—the Elder God of Eden, the conqueror of universes, the creator of existence—take an oath, with the whole universe as my witness!"

"I have seen love and war, death and birth, creation and ruin. I have seen mortals rise in wisdom, and I have seen divinity in them more than in you."

His voice rose, raw, unyielding.

"You call this a test? I endured horrors that would shatter any mind. I suffered deeper than any mortal. I gave up my pride, my wrath, my sanity. I opened my heart and learned to live like them. And still, it was never enough."

"You sit on your throne without virtue. Without justice. You watch them suffer, and you enjoy it. You call that divinity? You call that enlightenment? It is nothing but cruelty."

He clenched the sword with both hands, his voice a storm.

"I refuse your game. I refuse to be your puppet. I refuse to bow, to love, to submit, to accept your rules."

"I REFUSE!"

The winds howled. The sea rose in chorus, as if the world itself longed for liberation. Fate had awaited this moment—not a hero of hope, but of wrath. A god broken, flawed, yet unyielding.

Vyrian laughed, hollow and fierce.

"They despised me for hating humanity. But today, that changes. This sword is not raised in vengeance, but as a promise. An oath to truth. I swear to eradicate injustice. To forge my sin into a weapon against corruption disguised as holiness."

His voice deepened, every word a thunderclap.

"I swear to tear down the false god who hides behind titles and power. I will sever your head, Father. I will raise it upon the mast of my vessel, and with mortals at my side, I will show that even 'pests' can surpass you."

He raised the blade toward the sun, his oath complete.

"I will strike you down. I promise. I PROMISE!"

"And when your throne is mine, I will dispense true justice. I will define true divinity."

The world shuddered. Skies trembled. Seas writhed. His vow burned brighter than any lightning.

This was no mere rebellion.

Vyrian Orestes had declared war on divinity itself.
