Chapter 2 - Ad Libitum

"The child of chaos."

A name that a lot of people in the underworld had heard of, mostly before their deaths of course.

A name that still haunted those, related to its possessor's victims.

A name that was solely made for the most gifted child Likho has ever raised.

But not everyone was afraid of it. For the possessor was not yet as popular as the top ranked hitmen in Russia, let alone the world.

The possessor was only a young adult, still looking for a way to have experience in the field. Still training everyday to become the best there is.

Which was exactly the reason why he was sent here, tasked with killing the man sitting right in front of him.

"The child of chaos."

A short pause cut through the two men, both of them staring at each other without a blink.

The bodyguards were standing around the corners of the office, mentally preparing for what is to come.

"Shame I have to kill you."

Snapping his fingers, Andrey gestured one of his guards to close in to eliminate the young man.

Bringing out a handgun and joining it with a silencer, the guard reached the young Mr. Smith, pointing it on his temple.

However, the man remained unfazed, staring at Andrey dead in his eyes while pressing open one of his lenses.

And so, keeping the lense in between his fingers, just when the bodyguard was at point blank range, he finally stopped being so calm.

Just when the guard was about to pull the trigger, he shoved the man's arm away, slashing his eye open with the sharp edge of the lense alone.

Crimson droplets sprayed the bookshelf behind him, causing a massive shock for the rest of the guards.

By which time, the blood came into contact with the books, the young man had already pointed the weapon at one of his enemies.

Using the Mozambique Drill, the weapon was fired thrice, two landing on the guard's torso while the final one pierced into his forehead.

Blood splattered the walls behind him, the flower vase unharmed but slipped off from the ground due to his fall.

The young killer then swiftly pulled the handgun away from the bodyguard's fist, pulling the trigger on his larynx.

Deep, red gore and flesh burst from the top of his head, the disgusting brain tissue painting the floor a deep, slippery crimson.

Shocked, the last guard managed to bring out his pistol, shooting at the young killer and leading him to just 'wing it' in order to accomplish his goal.

And so, he improvised... by using the dead man as a cover to deflect the bullets of course. That is, before gunning the bodyguard down.

The same technique was used, prompting the man to have three bullets in three different spots of his being.

The gunshots from the final bodyguard caused a commotion outside the office room, forcing the two check-in bodyguards to enter.

But the young man was prepared more than one could expect.

Once they rushed inside the office, the young man immediately let the dead man fall before pointing the gun at them.

While one had his eye and jaw punctured into sickening, gore-filled gaping pits, the other died with a bullet in his forehead.

Nine seconds... It took him nine seconds to kill five of Andrey's personal bodyguards.

However, just when he was turning around to point the gun at his main target, Andrey suddenly gave him a surprise.

A surprise that any man would give to his guest.

A cup of coffee...

CLASH!!

Sharp fragments tore through the young man's skin, his pale white face filling up with dots of bleeding slits, prompting him to miss the shot.

The warm coffee stung his wounds, the pain causing him to grimace as he stumbled backwards.

He tried to come back to his senses, tried to point at his target once again and pull the trigger.

But failed regardless as Andrey grabbed his wrist and jabbed him with all his strength.

The jagged splinters from the shattered cup violently slashed the young man's already wounded face, the sting this time, causing him to grunt and grit his teeth.

Blood rushed out of the horrifying gashes, painting the left side of his face with nothing but red.

Without giving him a break, Andrey charged in with another heavy blow, his left tear-spilling eye going full scarlet.

Tons of blood splattered from his lacerations but that didn't give him a pause as the CEO was planning on pummeling the man to death.

However, his plans got cancelled when the killer palmed his bicep, finally stopping the blows.

But that was far from stopping him.

For the CEO immediately threw back his arm and punched the man's abdomen with the sharp, jagged cup on his fist.

By the time, the young assassin finished coughing out blood, Andrey threw the cup from his bleeding knuckles and immediately twisted the young man's wrist.

The young killer grunted, trying to get his arm out of Andrey's grip. But his strength proved to be too much for him to handle.

Pulling his arm close to the desk, Andrey did what any man would do to someone actively trying to kill them... Slam the hand onto the sharp edge of a desk so that they lose their grip on the weapon.

The young man groaned in agony, his hand showcasing visible signs of bruises and cuts as his grip loosened.

Desperation took a hold of him as he fired the gun multiple times even though he knew none of them could get to his target.

He had no choice but to look for another way which led his eyes land onto the pencil stand.

THLASH!!

The time the blood droplets needed to fall on the ground was long enough for the young man to shoot Andrey.

However, his bleeding, potentially fractured hand was numb due to the severe amount of beating it got, causing it to fail mustering enough strength to tighten the grip.

And by which time, his jelly-like hand properly got a hold of the gun, Andrey gave him a hard blow to his slit-filled face, gushing out streams of blood from the wounds.

Andrey then grabbed him by the collar and whirled him away at the bookshelf, causing the gun to fall on the desk.

Noticing the gun, Andrey didn't hesitate for even a second to go for it.

However, just as he was about to reach it, the gun was immediately pushed away from the desk.

It seemed that the idea of throwing books to move a weapon away from the enemy was quite a success.

And the weapon wasn't the only thing the book hit. For Andrey groaned and winced in agony as his index finger was dislocated by the strike.

But Andrey was not going to just stand there as he fixed the finger and went towards the gun.

The young man, in the meantime, began collecting the fallen books to throw them at Andrey, slowing his pace towards the gun.

He rose up to his feet, throwing the books one by one at Andrey's ankles, causing him to stumble.

But even then, Andrey reached the gun unaware that the young assassin was already behind him with the final book in his grip.

Just as he turned around to shoot, the young man swung a massive curve with his arm, returning a surprise of his own to Andrey.

BAM!!

Blood rushed out of the cracked nose like a waterfall, streaming a wavy line of crimson in his grey beard.

But that wasn't the end as the assassin wasn't letting him off that easily.

He gave another heavy swing, the book cover thrusting against his cheek as his head involuntarily swept to the side.

Not giving him a break, the young killer grabbed Andrey's armed fist and jabbed his throat as hard as he could with the hard spine of the book.

Blood painted the beard red, streams of sticky crimson constantly flowing from his mouth.

But the young man wasn't even bothering to let him breathe, twisting his arm and crushing his ribs with the book spine.

Firing the gun involuntarily, Andrey groaned loudly, his grimace being more visible with each one of the jabs.

However, interrupting the pounding session, one of Andrey's security guards rushed into the office, only to see himself fall to his knees with a bullet in his forehead.

It seemed that the young killer was already aware of the footsteps, prompting him to swing the book at Andrey's shattered nose one last time before twisting his wrist and firing the gun at the security guard.

Twisting his wrist even further, the assassin pulled it down off his fingers before kicking him away against the glass wall.

Fear finally kicked in his face, his teary, shocked, widened eyes glaring at the young man, thinking it can't possibly be.

After all these efforts, after all this planning, he was still met with the face of his hopelessness, with the face of his demise.

Slowly holding up his arms, he tried to calm things down so that he can get enough time for his security to barge through that door.

"You don't wanna kill me... You are gonna be in a whole lot of trouble if you do..."

Keeping his gun pointed at his target, the young man's facial expressions were completely unmoved with the exception of his furrowed eyebrows due to the pain.

Just like before, silence reigned the office, the young man glaring at Andrey dead in the eyes before finally opening his mouth.

"....I already am...."

BANG!
