Night had settled over the Nightshade Pack, but the compound was anything but quiet.
Music drifted through the streets, blending with laughter, conversations, and the occasional burst of cheers from one stall or another. Lanterns hung between buildings, casting warm pools of light across the snowy ground, while vendors called out to passing customers and children ran between the crowds with sweets clutched in their hands.
The Festival of the Fallen had grown considerably over the years.
What had once been a celebration held almost entirely by the Nightshade Pack had become something much larger.
People from the South, the West, the East, now traveled to Nirvana to experience it.
It had been Tobias's idea.
Of course it had.
When the Nightshade Pack had expanded and the shrine had become part of the compound's outer grounds, Tobias had immediately seen the opportunity.
