Chapter 30 - Exposed..

 Keifer's Pov

"How's life with Keifer these days?" Clyde asked Jay, genuinely interested. What? he's interested in my personal life now?

"Huh?" Jay blinked, clearly confused.

"What I mean is—who is Keifer to you? Or maybe, how does he treat you?" Clyde said, trying to make it clearer.

"A-ahh..." She paused for a second, "He's an Idiot, King of Assholes, A snake, Flirty freak, Short tempered, Handso—wait, no! Ugly. You know, tragically ugly and also I swear, he's the most jealous man I've ever come across." She continued.

Clyde laughed at her soo hard that he couldn't even breath. I almost choked on my own saliva, Me? Ugly? An Idiot? A snake? Flirty freak??? Short tempered? Jealous? Who? Me?? And King of Assholes?!? 3 Profanities.. I sighed, I didn't know Jay would think of me like this, I thought she would compliment me like, He's soo damn handsome, He's really smart, He's the best guy I've ever met...

"Tss," I murmured, so faint it felt like even the silence had to lean in to hear.

"You know?," he continued laughing, Yes she know.. "I think you're the first one to call him an Idiot and an Asshole".

She also laughed along with him, I peeked at them and glared at Clyde like he had done some serious crime.

"Wait—he's actually serious about you, right?" Clyde leaned in, as if Jay were about to confess to a crime rather than a relationship.

Jay stopped laughing, "I really don't know," She replied. Huh?..

"You should ask him," Clyde told her and Jay nodded.

"Shit," She suddenly murmured.

I smirked, That's 4 right there.

Jay-Jay's Pov

For a few seconds I just bobbed my head like some broken toy, until reality slapped me across the face: I still had to go back to Kuya's house.

"Shit," I murmured.

"Uhh Clyde, what's the time?," I asked Clyde.

"Its almost... 3.00 PM," He replied while glancing at his watch.

"I-i've to go," I smiled at him, "Bye..," Sheeettt... Kuya is gonna KILL ME.

"Wait...," He suddenly got up, "I won't recommend you...dating a Watson," I looked confused by what he said.

"I've experience...You'll just end up getting hurt," He continued.

I opened my mouth, but someone—almost like my echo, but louder—interrupted: "She doesn't need your care. She's already got mine."

I turned the person who said it, "K-KEIFER?".

Clyde chuckled, "Guess someone's in love," He said.

"Why are you here!?" I asked, furious.

"Okay, fine… I might've, sort of, followed you here," Keifer confessed, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish grin.

"For what?" I asked, my tone laced with curiosity and a hint of suspicion.

"You left your bag," Keifer said, his voice softer than usual. "I just wanted to return it." "And… for your safety," he added, his voice dropping a little.

I rolled my eyes, refusing to let the small flutter in my chest show. "I don't need a bodyguard, Keifer." Keifer didn't bother arguing. He just stood there quietly, a faint, almost knowing look softening his eyes.

I said nothing more. Instead, I turned my attention to Clyde. "I'll get going," I murmured, forcing my voice to stay steady.

"I'll drop you home," Keifer said, his voice tight. "I'm sorry — I shouldn't have followed you."

"Uhh, Jay… you might as well go with him," Clyde said, smirking like he knew exactly what he was doing. "Much safer, trust me."

I groaned softly. "Fine… bye, Clyde!" I waved at him, my tone a mix of annoyance and something softer I refused to admit.

Clyde waved back, still smirking, and I turned my back on him.

"He's usually not like that," Keifer mumbled, his eyes fixed on the road.

"What?" I asked, sliding into his car, my brows knitting in curiosity.

"Nothing," he murmured, turning the key in the ignition. His eyes stayed on the road, but something in his tone made me uneasy.

I remembered Clyde saying that dating a Watson wasn't exactly safe, so I turned to Keifer. "Why did he say that? Dating a Watson isn't very safe?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

Keifer smirked, his eyes glinting in the rearview mirror. "He knew I was there. He was trying to expose me," he replied, a hint of amusement in his tone.

"Anyways… that was four," Keifer said, the smirk never leaving his lips.

I tilted my head, frowning in confusion. "What do you mean?"

His smirk widened, a spark of amusement in his eyes. "You forgot already?"

Forgot what?

"It's okay… I'll make you remember when we get there," he said, his smirk widening as he winked.

I ignored him, grabbing my bag from the backseat. The cool wind rushed in as I rolled down the window, the city blurring past.

But I couldn't shake his stare. Keifer's calm, piercing glance lingered on me, making it impossible to focus on anything but the faint heat rising in my chest.

The traffic was relentless, crawling at a snail's pace. By the time we finally got home, more than an hour and a half had passed, leaving me restless and frustrated. I'm dead..

I reached for the door handle but Keifer stopped me by grabbing my arm. I turned to him and the worst part? Even its been hours his smirk never left his lips..

Even before I could protest, he gave me four quick kisses on my cheek. "That's all for now.. bye."

Heat burned my cheeks—I knew I was blushing. Without saying a word, I slipped out of the car, avoiding his gaze, and opened the small gate, hoping he wouldn't notice how flustered I truly was.

I quickly opened the door and slipped into the house. Kuya Angelo stood there with his arms crossed, his expression unreadable. Aunt Gema sat nearby, worry etched on her face, while Aries hovered close, trying to comfort her.

All three of them turned to look at me at once, and in that moment, I knew I was dead.
