Silence didn't just hang in the room this time it seethed thick ,heavy and alive.
Romeo's breath hitched as Donato's finger stayed leveled at him like a loaded gun.
"You," Donato said again—quiet, merciless, final.
Alessia's nails dug into Luca's arm. Daisy froze, her entire body trembling.
Romeo blinked once, twice, confusion and pain ripping through his face like lightning.
"Donato," Luca snapped, stepping forward, "you can't just accuse him..."
"I can," Donato said coldly. "And I am."
Romeo's jaw tightened as if the accusation stabbed him deep. "You think I'd betray you? Betray this family? After everything?"
