Chapter 6: Crisis Under the Skirt and a Helping Hand!

Tang Ye arrived beside the car.
Through the rear window glass, he could vaguely see a man choking a woman.
Tang Ye almost suspected, was the man trying to rob and kill her?
The woman's face was turned upwards.

Gu Wenqin stood on her tiptoes on her injured left foot, bending down to find the key in a white shoe on the third level of the shoe rack.
Tang Ye was taken aback for a moment and quickly reminded her: "Remember to hide the key in a different place tomorrow. Otherwise, the next time someone breaks in to steal something, you'll think it was me!"
"You really know how to joke. There's nothing valuable in my house. If you see anything you like, feel free to take it."
She went inside and turned on the light.
The white light made Gu Wenqin's delicate features appear completely flushed.
Tang Ye helped Gu Wenqin to the sofa.
After she was settled, he lightly wiped the fine beads of sweat from his forehead.
Gu Wenqin looked at the tired Tang Ye, wanting to say a few words of thanks but not knowing how to begin.
"I've caused you so much trouble. By the way, what did you want to talk to me about?"
"You're welcome. I have a proposal here. You can take a look at it first, and we can talk tomorrow!"
Tang Ye glanced at Gu Wenqin, and his expression suddenly froze.
It was clearly not appropriate for him to stay any longer.
After seeing Tang Ye off, she closed the door.
Gu Wenqin limped to the bathroom.
Only then did she discover that her skirt had been torn.
