Premise: "The Job Application"

Slice-of-life fantasy comedy

---

Nico Finnikin Faelwyn and Garrick Ironhart were living their dream: sprawled across a worn-out couch under open skies, surrounded by exotic snacks, sticky slushies, and zero responsibilities. Somewhere between slurping neon-blue syrup and digging into a foreign dish filled with mysterious green and red vegetables, the two had fully embraced their peaceful exile from society. No rules. No noise. No jobs. Just the wilderness, some broken tech, and each other's chaos.

Then the letters arrived.

A bird-shaped courier drone buzzed down and smacked Nico in the face with a government-stamped envelope. He blinked, peeled it off, and read:

"Dear Nico Finnikin Faelwyn,

You've been wrongly exiled into the wilderness. You are hereby reinstated into regular society.

A full-time job is now available to you. Congratulations."

Nico's jaw dropped. His slushie nearly fell.

"A what?!"

Garrick Ironhart hesitated to open his own letter, dreading what bureaucratic horror it might contain. With a slow tear and trembling hands, he read:

"Dear Garrick Ironhart,

You've been wrongly exiled into the wilderness. You are hereby reinstated into regular society.

A full-time job is now available to you. Congratulations."

The soda slipped from his grip, hitting the ground with a fizzy death.

"This... this cannot be happening. A job?"

The silence that followed was not peace—it was dread.

Now, with society clawing at their freedom, the duo must figure out how to face employment, avoid responsibility, and maybe (just maybe) sabotage their own applications before it's too late.

Because if there's one thing they fear more than exile... it's the 9-to-5.
