Flames consumed the sides of buildings, their windows shattered by shockwaves. Cars lay overturned, alarms wailing, and smoke hung heavy in the night sky. The ground trembled as the Hulk and the Abomination collided in the streets of Harlem.

The Hulk roared, slamming his fist into the Abomination's jaw. The blow hurled the creature into a building, which crumbled under the impact. Abomination tore himself free with a snarl, his jagged, bone-like protrusions glinting. The clash of their blows echoed like thunder, each impact shaking Harlem to its foundation.

High above the chaos, Alexander Kane hovered, eyes scanning below. His Knights were already in motion.

"Davies, contain the fire. Henderson, direct Storm units to lead evacuees. Sentinels, secure the rescue routes and handle the injured," Alex commanded over comms, his tone steady and sharp.

Phoenix specialists bent their flames to contain the spreading fires, clearing safe paths through the streets so rescue could continue. Storm Order operatives guided groups through alleys with precision, keeping their formation disciplined. The Sentinels held the line, their shields deflecting falling rubble while ushering terrified families to safety.

From above, Alex could see the coordination working—but every second the two monsters fought, more lives were at risk.

Henderson's voice cut in through the comms. "What about the two giants fighting?"

Alex's tone was firm. "Your immediate priority is the safety of the people. Let me worry about them."

On the street, Abomination ripped a half-destroyed car from the street and hurled it at Hulk. Hulk caught it mid-air, muscles straining, and flung it back with a roar. The vehicle spun end over end toward a bystander filming on his phone—the man froze in terror, his hands trembling as the screen shook in his grip. In an instant, Alex's telekinesis yanked him out of harm's way, the car crashing into an abandoned building. The man stumbled, still clutching his phone, terror in his eyes. Alex shook his head. 'There are men like that will risk their lives for a little fame and likes.'

Abomination and Hulk charged at each other. They met mid-street, fists colliding as shockwaves shook the buildings and cracked the ground.

The devastation spread with each exchange. Light poles snapped, the street cracked, and storefronts collapsed. Neither creature cared for the destruction—only the fight.

Hovering above, Alex clenched his fists. He could see the growing desperation in the faces below. 'If this keeps going, Harlem won't survive the night.'

Suddenly, Alex heard the thrum of rotor blades cutting through the chaos. A military helicopter swooped overhead, floodlights blazing. Alex rose higher and glided toward it, coming eye-level with the cockpit before tapping lightly on the glass.

"What the—?" Ross muttered, sliding the side door open.

Alex stepped in smoothly. "General."

Ross blinked, remembering when Kane International was still chasing small contracts. Back then, he took Alex for a kid riding Stark's coattail. But now? With the Knights rising and Alex's power on display, Ross cursed himself for not pulling him under the army. His scowl hardened.

"Kane! Why the hell aren't your people attacking? They're tearing the city apart!"

Alex's eyes narrowed. "We're saving lives, General. That's the mission."

Ross jabbed a finger toward the ongoing clash. "Those two are weapons of mass destruction. Put your Knights on them. With our forces combined, we can take them down."

Before Alex could respond, a softer voice cut through the tension.

"Dad!"

Betty Ross, daughter of Thaddeus Ross, clutched her seat, pale as she stared at Hulk. "He's not the monster! He's fighting to stop the mistake you made. You can't treat him like the enemy!"

Ross's expression hardened. "Betty, stay out of this."

She shook her head, locking eyes with Alex. "Please. Don't let them kill him."

Ross growled, frustration breaking through. "Urgh! Fine. Focus your people on the big one with bones sticking out. The other one stays breathing... for now."

Alex studied the battlefield, lips pressed into a thin line. "I'll help where I can. But understand this, General, I'm not here to fight your war. My people protect civilians. That comes first."

Ross's scowl deepened. "If you don't help, Kane, there won't be a Harlem left to save."

Alex didn't flinch. "Then do your job, and I'll do mine." With that, he stepped out of the helicopter, floating toward the battlefield as Ross scowled in the chopper.

Alex hovered just above the fight, his eyes locked on the fight. Abomination swung a lamppost like a club, smashing Hulk across the street. Hulk retaliated by tearing up a section of asphalt and slamming it into Abomination's chest.

Alex acted. With a sweep of his hand, a telekinetic barrier snapped into place, deflecting a shower of debris away from a cluster of trapped civilians. Another motion sent a collapsing wall crumbling sideways, sparing a family caught beneath. His powers couldn't stop the titans, but they could save lives.

The Knights moved in sync with him, their formations tightening as they secured escape routes. Every saved civilian was a small victory in the chaos. Above the battlefield, Alex stayed in constant motion, hovering, watching, and intervening whenever the fight threatened innocents.

After guiding the last of the civilians, Alex's spear appeared in his hand. He hurled it with all his might toward Abomination's head. The monster, sensing something, twisted suddenly—its clawed hand snapping up to block. The spear pierced through his palm before glancing off the back of his skull and gouging into his shoulder. Abomination roared, fury blazing in his eyes, and glared up at Alex.

Hulk seized the moment, snatching a fallen utility pole and smashing it across Abomination's skull. The creature spun with the blow, staggered, and hit the ground. Hulk pounced, raining savage strikes. Abomination blocked with mangled arms, even as bones cracked and the pole splintered.

Spotting the spear still lodged in his foe, Hulk ripped it free with a howl of pain. Hulk grabbed it and tried to ram it into his enemy's skull, but his hand met only air. The weapon vanished. Hulk was confused, not understanding what just happened. But the confusion just fueled Hulk's fury, and he unleashed a relentless beating until Abomination lay broken and unmoving.

Yet Hulk didn't seem to stop.

Alex hesitated for a moment, resolve hardening as he realized only he could stop this. He tried to seize Hulk's arm with telekinesis. A sudden severe pain shot through his skull, blood trickling from his nose. Shock jolted through him at the sight—he hadn't thought he could still bleed. He realized this injury was not something the serum could heal. The strain rattled his mind, dizziness threatening to drag him under.

Still, he forced his voice out. "Stop, Hulk! It's over!"

Hulk froze, eyes snapping to Alex's floating form. He roared, ready to fight again—until another voice cut through the night.

"Bruce!"

Betty's trembling voice came from the helicopter above. She leaned out, eyes filled with concern, love, and a slight fear.

He looked at her, the moment seeming frozen. His gaze dropped to his feet, then to Abomination's motionless body, and finally back to the chaos around him. For a brief moment, sadness crossed his face.

With a final, guttural roar, Hulk turned and leapt away, bounding across rooftops until the night swallowed him.

Alex exhaled, relief washing over him. But as he looked at the wreckage, at his approaching Knights, and at Abomination's still form, a wave of weakness crashed down. His head throbbed, vision blurring. Darkness crept in as he drifted downward.

"Sir...!" The Knights' shouts echoed faintly before Alex lost consciousness.
