VANESSA
"I swear to the Moon Goddess, if Roman Vance comes within ten feet of my nephew again, I'll challenge him myself," Leo growled, pacing our guest house living room like a caged animal. His Alpha energy pulsed through the room, making the air feel thick and charged.
I sat on the couch, emotionally drained. "Leo, please calm down. You're making my head hurt."
He whirled to face me, his eyes flashing amber. "Calm down? Did you not see what he did to Fabian? The way he crushed him?"
"Of course I saw," I snapped, my voice cracking. "I was there, remember? I'm the one who had to hold my son while he cried himself to sleep last night."
Leo's expression softened slightly. "I'm sorry, Ness. But this ends now. After the Alpha Ball tomorrow, we're cutting all ties with the Silverclaw Pack. I don't care about the political implications."
"You can't just—"
"I'm the Alpha of Moonstone," he said firmly. "Watch me."
