Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: Hired Barber

Dave's POV:

I'm on my way back from a blind date set up by my parents, who have been relentlessly trying to set me up with someone regardless of the gender when I remembered I had to get my dad a barber. I sighed in exhaustion as I was seriously exhausted from the blind date, which went beautifully wrong as expected.

The lady I was set up with was just another shameless gold digger. I tested her as I usually test every lady (that is, ever since I caught my Ex cheating on me with my driver just because I wasn't touching her) by pretending to be some middle class simpleton with nothing to offer but love.

When the lady (Olive) saw me, she was disgusted and got all spiky and rude but when she saw my best friend, Edward the womanizer, who came as planned, she transformed into a sweet and hospitable lady. Ugh, disgusting. I take my things and leave when I see Olive in a conversation with Edward and intentionally snubbing me. I change back to my clothes in my car and head to my barbers after trying to reach him to book an appointment, all to no avail.

I just checked by his salon and found it in a messy and deserted state, so I head for his house, which i find in the same condition. It seems he had the balls to run away with my money (I had given him two years advance payment for myself and my dad) if I were in a good mood I would have let it slide but Nah I'm gonna show him he just messed with the wrong person.

I got in my car, put a few calls across, and began searching for a new barber for myself and my dad. Since today's a Friday, most of the barbers were preoccupied with work. I kept on moving about to give up on my search when I spotted a salon up ahead and prayed to find it empty; not that I'm wishing the barber badluck or something.

I pull up in front of the salon when I notice that it's open and empty; well, apart from the barber. The salon looks topnotch with the designs and all, but the barber, on the other hand, looks like a complete simpleton wearing a black baggy denim Jean jogger, a black hoodie, and black socks on her feet which were fixed inside a white pair of Crocs ("why would someone wear Crocs to work?" I asked myself), and funny enough, she's barbing a manekin (like, who does that?). I looked around the salon a little more and spots a black scarve and a pair of black Nike sneakers at a corner.

Michelle's POV:

I watched silently with the corner of my eyes as THE Handsome Fellow scanned the salon while still standing outside with his beautiful almond eyes. His pointed nose, smooth fair skin, lightly thick eyebrows, moderate eyes, and small pursed up lips; as if contemplating whether to enter or not, all gave him a very familiar aura. His face and chest were cleanly shaved, and his full thick brown hair was combed back neatly.

After some contemplation, he decides to walk into the salon, so I go to get my barbing kit (the one I use for humans) after getting it from where I had stashed it, I meet him still standing there witha plain look on his face.

'Don't you have manners?' He finally spoke up his British accent as cleat as his cologne 'Can't you even manage to draw up a seat for me? or did your boss never teach you that much? '

I was disgusted. "And just who the hell do you think you are, you son of a bitch?" I meant to ask him as I imagined myself giving him a sucker punch. But I needed to keep this job, so I quietly drew up a seat for him.

Instead, he ignored me and pulled up a seat for himself. Oh, now I was pissed off.

'Just what is the color of your problem?' I asked with annoyance. 'You said I lacked manners because I didn't pull up a seat for you. And when I did, you totally snubbed me and pulled up a seat for yourself. If you could do it by yourself from the start then why didn't you ?'

He just brought out his phone and began watching a movie using an earpod wanting to annoy me all the more. So on turn, I moved to the my phone and turned on the stereo machines at the corners of the salon. I put on an earmuff and put the stereo on its highest volume as I moved my body while noisily humming a different tune. Having one large stereo at the corner of your room is dangerous enough to mae your ears bleed if even if it's using only 60% of it's volume speak less of a full 100% of the volume of four large speakers.

'Are you trying to murder someone?' He asked shouting so I could hear him though I barely managed to make any sense from what I heard as the speakers were so loud I could barely even hear myself. I ignored him and set up my hair kit. He stood up his head towering above me as he walked to the speakers and turned off the switch connected to the speakers but to his utmost surprise, itkept on playing without the music and volume being affected.

'Can you please turn off the music already?' He asked with a calm but loud and tense voice with his headphone already blocking his ears, though, it didn't seem like it was doing much good.

I strolled to the soundproof door and shut it, so the music won't affect the neighborhood. I turned and faced him squarely still humming and dancing to the tune the speakers were playing.

He placed his fingertips on his head and began massaging his temple, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, despite the winter and air conditioning. Veins began appearing on his head as he looked pale and dehydrated.

Dave's POV:

My forehead was throbbing, I was having another migraine. My head felt like it was banging against a wall with each beat the stereo made. She walked up to me and placed the back of her palm on my forehead and then my neck as of checking my temperature. I noticed how soft and warm her delicate looking fingers were. Her nails were beautifully natural and light pink. She lifted my face (which I had bent down facing the ground) in her cupped up handsamd looked into my face with a business like face, her green or probably sea green eyes (I couldn't tell; my head was bang) glistening with concern or interest. She took me to a seat and made me sit.

' Can't you at least say please?' She asked, looking like a little puppy with a playful look on her face. ' It won't kill you, you know? '

I kissed my teeth in frustration knowing this green-eyed bitch had the upper hand now. I was having a migraine and couldn't argue with her now but I wasn't gonna give up, at least, not yet. She doesn't know who she's dealing with. I wasn't sure if unlike other ladies, she was unaffected by my charm, or, if she was just blinded by her stubborn rudeness.

' Get away from me and turn off the music already ' I shouted at her pushing her away. It seems I used too much force as she landed on the ground not moving. I was stunned at how light her body was .

I moved slowly to her and shook her trying to wake her up but she remained unconscious. Her heart was still beating so I was sure we was still alive. Just then, an idea came me; I could just give her artificial respiration. Though, I wasn't so sure of it out of remorse or out of list cause her lips were... inviting.

I bent down, took in a deep breath and placed lips close to hers and as my lips was about to connect with hers, I felt a full pain between my neck and my shoulder. My eyes went blank as my head hit the ground.

Michelle's POV:

I felt he was having a migraine, so, I had to knock him out while acting unconscious. When I knew he was unconscious, I carried him; with much effort, to a seat and after making him seat, I lowered the back of the seat turning it into a bed. I brought out my silver needles from my emergency purse; which is always in my pockets. I placed the needles on the pressure points on his neck and spine , twisted them, and let the blood clots come out.

When I was done, I cleaned up the blood and then, gave him a clean classic side part fade in place of the ear tucked part haircut he had on.

I drew down the curtains and prepared aroma therapy using the lavender essential oil I usually kept in the shelf. After that, I kept myself busy by massaging his scalp with my fingertips while waiting for him to wake up. O borrowed him one of my earmuffs so the music won't reverse the effect of the therapy and acupuncture I gave him. When I saw him stirring back to conciousness, I put my lot on order and cleaned up the salon.

Dave's POV:

I woke up to a sweet scent which smelled like my mother's toilet; the scent of lavender. I was confused.

' Where am I? ' I asked confused as my memory was still foggy I last remembered being on my way to the restaurant.

' You're finally awake ' said the green-eyed witch. ' Welcome to the land of the living Mister beauty sleep ' The green-eyed witch exclaimed smiling.

My memories came flooding in . Right, I was about to perform mouth-to-mouth on her when...

' Did you knock me out? ' I asked in surprise.

' Yeah ' She said, dancing to the music produced by the stereo which was sounding muffled. I had just realized I wasn't feeling the migraine anymore. ' You were talking too much so I had to knock you out so I could cut your hair and all '. She said as she reached out and took off the earmuff I was so mysteriously wearing. Hold on, did she say she cut my hair? I looked into the mirror on front of me and saw a different but really familiar face. What the bloody hell did this witch do to my hair?
