When Sirvan and Eyria arrived at the General's tent, they found several important figures inside: his deputy, a military healer, and a special messenger from the city of Stalonia.
The General began speaking in a serious voice.
General: "We encountered no resistance in Canria. We reclaimed it without casualties, but what happened does not reassure me in the slightest... The village was reduced to ruins without being occupied, and there are deep holes scattered beneath the ground... As if they were searching for something specific."
Eyria stepped forward.
Eyria: "I believe they were searching for the body of Arons, our legendary hero."
Silence filled the tent for a moment.
The General furrowed his brows.
General: "Arons? The strongest man to ever wield all the elements of the kingdom? Why would they be searching for his body now?"
Sirvan answered cautiously.
Sirvan: "Perhaps they intend to turn him into one of the Dark Soldiers. Or perhaps they know that a secret was buried with him... his daughter, perhaps."
The General lowered his head in thought before speaking slowly.
General: "If that is true... then we are facing an unprecedented danger. Arons possessed a power beyond description. He was the one who drove back the darkness during the Great War, many years ago."
One of the General's deputies spoke cautiously.
Deputy: "Should we send a unit immediately to relocate the body?"
The General answered firmly.
General: "Yes. We must do it immediately. We cannot allow them to get anywhere near it."
After a moment of thought, he added:
General: "But... where should we move it? The new location must remain secret, heavily fortified, and impossible for the enemy to discover."
Silence once again filled the tent as everyone began to think.
Finally, one of the officers spoke.
Officer: "What about the Eastern Forest? It lies between towering mountains, is guarded by a special unit, and would be extremely difficult to infiltrate."
The General nodded in agreement.
General: "Good idea. We will move the body there. Send the orders immediately, and make sure no one among the civilians learns what is happening."
He then turned toward Sirvan and Eyria.
General: "You two must return to the capital immediately. Inform the King of what happened, and tell him that Canria has been reclaimed... but the real battle has not even begun."
The two nodded.
They left the tent as night began to descend, carrying with it more questions than answers.
