Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 – Ethan Bewitched by the Blood of the Evil God?,

The system voice suddenly echoed in Ethan's mind:

"Reminder: The summoned beast has been affected by an unknown force. It has fallen into chaos and cannot be retrieved temporarily!"

At that moment, Da Dao Zai's eyes turned blood-red. He ignored Ethan's commands completely. His huge forelimbs started swinging wildly in every direction.

The worst part was… he was swinging toward Ethan.

Fortunately, Da Dao Zai's body seemed to instinctively step back from Ethan, as if some tiny bit of reason still existed inside him. Still, the danger was obvious.

Ethan quickly connected everything to the one thing floating right in front of him:

That strange, blood-red drop hovering in the air.

What is this thing?

When Ethan stared at the drop, his vision suddenly blurred. Then, like an illusion crashing into his mind, he saw:

A mountain of corpses.

A sea of blood.

A battlefield from ancient times.

Broken weapons were scattered everywhere. Dead bodies lay in endless piles. Thick, suffocating blood mist floated across the land.

On the ground near him, Ethan saw the corpse of the principal of No. 3 Middle School… and the principal's grandmother. Their bodies had been torn apart by some terrifying creature.

Even worse, he saw Fairwind and Lily Winters lying nearby, their heads completely severed. Their bodies were missing.

A terrifying rage exploded inside Ethan.

It rose from deep in his stomach, shot up through his chest, and filled his entire brain.

Right now, Ethan wanted only one thing:

To tear everything around him into pieces.

Suddenly—

Swish!

A golden blade of light shot through the air. It sliced across Ethan's left arm and embedded itself deep in the wall behind him.

The sharp pain jolted Ethan awake instantly.

Reality snapped back.

The battlefield illusion vanished.

The abandoned factory around him returned to normal.

Ethan immediately lowered his head, refusing to look at the drop of blood again. But even so, the violent, maddening energy radiating from it continued to affect him.

His breathing turned rough.

His hands trembled.

His heart pounded violently in his chest.

He forced the hostility down and looked toward Da Dao Zai, who was still struggling in agony. The earlier blade strike had come from him, not because Da Dao Zai wanted to kill Ethan, but because he had swung randomly in his temporary madness.

Thankfully, the beast's remaining sanity allowed him to strike the arm lightly, not fatally.

But because of Ethan's "Damage Transfer" talent…

The one who suffered the real damage was not Ethan.

Instead, in the Beast Controlling Space, the queen ant screamed silently as one of her forelimbs was sliced clean off.

He couldn't leave Da Dao Zai exposed to that horrible blood any longer.

Ethan instantly activated his talent and dragged the beast into the "alienation" option box.

At the same time, the bearded master rushed over but stopped several meters away. He knew how terrifying the blood was and didn't dare get close.

"Boy! Stay away from that drop of evil god's blood!" the bearded master shouted.

Evil god's blood?

Just hearing the name made Ethan realize how dangerous this thing was. Anything connected to a "god," especially an evil one, was far beyond what he should handle at his current level.

But Ethan's eyes were turning red again.

The battlefield illusion began reappearing, becoming clearer and clearer, as if dragging him deeper.

He couldn't reach the bearded master in time.

His sanity was slipping.

He needed a solution now.

He saw the shattered box on the ground… the one Da Dao Zai had smashed earlier. That box was clearly meant to isolate the blood. But now there was only one… and it was ruined.

Ethan instinctively took out a golden treasure chest.

Maybe he could trap the blood inside?

But the bearded master immediately yelled:

"It's useless! Other boxes can't contain it. We already tried everything!"

Ethan froze.

Was he going to die here?

His mind raced.

Evil god's blood… since it was material, could it be treated like any other item?

With the last spark of rationality left in him—

Ethan raised his hand, touched the blood in the air, and dragged it straight into the alienation box of his Infinite Alienation Talent.

In a split second…

The blood vanished.

The pressure vanished.

The illusions vanished.

Ethan collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat, his breath shaky and shallow.

A system alert appeared:

"Hint: Do you want to perform infinite alienation?"

"Reminder: The summoned beast does not match its attributes. Alienation has a high probability of causing negative effects."

The bearded master, seeing the blood disappear, ran over with wide eyes.

"Quick! Release it and put it in your backpack! Keeping it there will let it take control faster!" he shouted.

He glared at Ethan. "If you don't want to turn into a half-human monster and get slapped to death by me afterward, throw it away NOW!"

The truth was… even the bearded master wasn't sure he could beat Ethan if Ethan fused with the blood. But he had to get that monster of an item away from the boy.

Ethan simply shook his head.

"Don't worry. I'm fine."

The bearded master stared, stunned.

"How is that possible!? Do you know how long it took us to build that box? Do you know how many priceless materials were used?!"

"You say you're fine? Who are you trying to trick!? Once fusion begins, it cannot be stopped!"

"You won't even have a whole body left!"

But Ethan simply raised both hands calmly.

"I said I'm fine."

The bearded master froze.

Then suspicion filled his face.

"You… did the blood bewitch you?"

His expression showed deep pity… mixed with a hint of schadenfreude.

Like he wanted to say:

"Ah… finally someone else suffers too."

Ethan rolled his eyes.

"This 'precious box' of yours? It broke like paper."

"…"

That shut the bearded master up instantly.

He began observing Ethan closely.

Still normal.

No madness.

No killing intent.

He finally relaxed a bit.

Maybe the boy really wasn't bewitched.

At that moment, Ethan noticed the bearded master's condition. His clothes were torn. His body was covered in injuries. One massive wound revealed exposed ribs.

Before he could ask—

A cold voice suddenly echoed from afar:

"Hand over the blood of the evil god, and I'll let you live."

A figure appeared, rushing toward them.

Instinctively, the bearded master stepped in front of Ethan to shield him.

But Ethan spoke up before he could reply:

"Sorry. You're too late. The blood of the evil god has already been destroyed."

"!?"

The figure froze in disbelief.
