Lana woke up the following morning earlier than usual.
Not like she had much of a choice anyways- after spending the night tossing and turning in her bed more than half the time, it was no surprise her eyes were wide open by 7am.
But despite how early she was, when she stepped out and headed to the dining room, she was immediately informed of Alexander's absence.
Every bit of appetite she could have had immediately went up in smoke. Alexander was gone? Alexander had left the house for work? Before 8am?
It made no sense and before she could stop herself, she was already connecting all the imaginary dots in her head. Suddenly being cold the previous night and now leaving the house as early as possible the following day? It was no coincidence. It was as a matter of fact, very planned. And out of all the moments he could choose to suddenly act up, it just had to be after he had kissed her.
