Chapter 23: The Unseen Follower

As the training session drew to a close, Luo Shen and Aria were both drenched in sweat. Their bodies ached from the intense workout, but there was a sense of accomplishment in the air. They retired to their respective bathrooms to freshen up. The warm water cascading down their bodies soothed their tired muscles.

After their baths, they met in the kitchen, ready to create a meal. Luo Shen rummaged through the pantry, pulling out ingredients while Aria prepped the cooking utensils. There was a comfortable silence between them as they worked together, each focusing on their tasks. Luo Shen chopped vegetables with practiced ease, while Aria started to heat up the pan. In no time, the delicious aroma of their home - cooked meal filled the air.

After a satisfying dinner, exhaustion quickly overtook them. They made their way to their rooms and soon fell asleep, the events of the day fading into slumber.

The next morning, the sun peeked through the curtains, rousing Luo Shen and Aria from their sleep. They dressed casually and headed out into the bustling city. Unbeknownst to them, Lin Feng had been waiting outside, blending into the early - morning crowd. He tailed them as they walked down the busy streets, keeping a safe distance.

Aria, engrossed in the new sights and sounds of the Earth city, didn't notice anything amiss. Lin Feng's stealth and lack of ill - intent made it easy for him to remain undetected by her. However, Luo Shen's system suddenly alerted him. A small ping echoed in his mind, indicating a hidden observer.

"Luo Shen, a hidden observer has been detected. Would you like to check the personal information?" the system asked.

"Check," Luo Shen replied in his mind. Instantly, details about Lin Feng popped up in his vision. "Lin Feng, Age 26, A - rank Hunter, Guild: Jade Sky Pavilion. Threat: No Threat."

Luo Shen furrowed his brows as he continued walking. He wondered what a hunter from the Jade Sky Pavilion could want with him. He had no direct dealings with the guild, and as far as he knew, he hadn't done anything to draw their attention. But since Lin Feng didn't seem to pose an immediate threat to him or Aria, he decided to play it cool.

He casually glanced around as if taking in the scenery, but in reality, he was trying to catch a glimpse of Lin Feng. From the corner of his eye, he spotted a man with a nondescript appearance, moving in tandem with their steps. Luo Shen was impressed by Lin Feng's tracking skills, but he was also determined not to let on that he had been discovered. He continued walking with Aria, pretending to be oblivious to the hidden follower, all the while planning how to handle this unexpected situation if it escalated.
