Chapter 7 - The First Day of Normal

Leon hesitated for a moment, then sat next to Lee Kiwook. He replied proudly, "Leon Baelsar."

Lee Kiwook gave a light nod and added, "Mm. Picked him up on the way."

Leon froze, his expression tightening in disbelief. "Do you even know what the Baelsar family name means—"

"Silence—"

Professor Pedro's brows furrowed deeply, and his blade-thin lips moved swiftly.

A wave of magical energy rippled through the air like wind, spreading across the entire grand hall.

Just moments ago it had been noisy and chaotic; now it fell into utter silence.

Leon instinctively reached for his throat and tried to speak again, wanting to explain his noble identity to this ignorant commoner. But no matter how hard he tried, not a single word came out.

He gave up and slumped into his seat in frustration.

Lee Kiwook's lips curved slightly. With his high magic resistance, the silence debuff didn't affect him at all, but that didn't stop him from pretending to be just another helpless newbie, quietly waiting for the headmaster to begin his speech.

The rest of the sixteen-year-old students around him weren't nearly as obedient.

Even with the silence spell in place, they still found countless ways, gestures, facial expressions, pantomime to express their boundless imagination and restless energy.

Every corner of the auditorium turned into a stage for exaggerated, vivid pantomime theater.

Caught in the whimsical atmosphere, Lee Kiwook let himself be momentarily distracted.

Even though the scene was familiar, even though the sensations were similar, it still felt completely different from the experience he'd had in the holographic game.

Professor Pedro gave a fierce glare at a boy flailing wildly in the front row.

Leon silently burst into laughter as he pointed at the headmaster's crooked wig, while Elarion, looking concerned, nudged Lee Kiwook's arm gently.

It felt as if, this world had come alive, and he was now blending into it as a normal person.

A normal person.

That word brought a flash of brightness into Lee Kiwook's dark eyes.

It was a status he had yearned for through 25 five long years of his life.

Perhaps in this world, he could slowly make up for all the incomplete pieces of the life he had once lived.

Elarion didn't know what Lee Kiwook was thinking, but he could keenly sense that something had changed in his repeating-grade roommate's gaze.

He, on his own accord, assumed it was a spark of determination to study hard.

Mimicking the kind old priest who raised him, Elarion reached out to gently pat Lee Kiwook's head.

In response, Lee Kiwook swatted his hand away with a polite but utterly insincere smile.

It turned out, no matter what world you were in, the headmaster's speech was always mind-numbingly boring.

After just a few minutes, Lee Kiwook lost all interest in experiencing life as a student and pulled up the game panel again to continue his research.

Since he was planning to live again in this world, he needed to seriously consider what path he would take in the future.
