On top of the high tree, Liam was preparing to cast the Rock Blasts spell again.
But as soon as he saw Robert flee, he froze in place.
"Wait, what?"
Before he could comprehend what was happening, Robert had vanished from his sight.
Given his great speed, Liam was unable to pursue him.
And so Liam remained standing in his spot, staring at the empty battlefield in a daze.
In the end, he shook his head lightly and lamented,
"I should have expected this. What an idiot I am."
He then frowned and wondered in confusion,
"What now? Should I return to Droughton Barony? Or should I wait until things calm down?"
In reality, Liam was certain that his actions would throw Droughton Barony into utter chaos.
He had killed nearly half their soldiers, not to mention he had caused their ruler to flee.
After thinking about it for a short while, he decided to remain hidden for a bit longer, just to be sure that everything was safe.
