Chapter 8 - Mother & Daughter

Isolde wanted to rip that smug smile off Viviane's face for breaking the agreement they had made, but she chose not to.

After all, she was a Matriarch Of Valstrath, she needed to be always in control and wise, especially facing a young, naive, and unstable vampire like Viviane.

She moved like a gust of wind, suddenly standing in front of her daughter. She grabbed Viviane's long red hair and yanked her to the floor, her naked body hitting the cold surface with a thud.

"How rude," Viviane muttered, unfazed as she propped herself up. "At least wait for me to cum."

Her pussy was still dripping from her own juices mixed with cum and clearly wasn't done with any of this.

But Isolde didn't care, her voice was cold and sharp like a dagger. "We agreed not to spill his blood until later. Have you lost your common sense?" Her expression twisted in disgust.

Viviane scowled. She sat up on the edge of the bed, her fingers lazily tracing Seamus's chest as he lay unconscious.

"So what?" she muttered. "I found him first while you were busy being a rotting corpse in bed."

She shrugged. "I have every right to taste him first. I'm the one he loves, remember?"

"Love?" Isolde scoffed. "You're older than this town and you're still using that childish excuse? That's why you'll never evolve, Viviane."

She took a step closer, her gaze sharp. "While your sister is out hunting and training, you're here playing with a human's heart like a teenage girl."

"Seamus would be disappointed if he saw the real you."

Viviane's fingers clenched tightly, she stood up, her fangs bared in fury as she snarled, "As if Seamus would ever fall for an old hag like you!"

The slap that followed echoed like thunder.

It wasn't a slap with ordinary strength. Isolde's blow sent Viviane flying across the room, crashing into the dresser with a loud crack.

"Don't you dare bare your fangs at me," Isolde said, calm and cold, "unless you want to be thrown out of this house."

Hands behind her back, she walked slowly toward her daughter, whose eyes now glowed golden with murderous rage.

Isolde stopped just in front of her. "Or maybe you'd be happier in another covenant, if they'd even want an unevolved whelp like you," she said with a cruel smile.

"You're a disgrace to the Velstrath name, Viviane. If you want to stay here, act like a good little dog."

"Fuck you!" Viviane screamed.

But Isolde only scoffed and turned her attention to Seamus, lifting him in her arms as if he weighed nothing.

Viviane bolted to her feet. "Where are you taking him?! He's mine!"

She moved to lunge, but Isolde's voice stopped her cold.

"Shut your mouth," Isolde hissed, her crimson eyes glowing, "or I'll trap you in a labyrinth of dreams until your mind crumbles."

Viviane froze. Her body trembled, the bravado shattered, fear flickering across her face.

"All bark, no fangs," Isolde said, shaking her head in disgust. "Still the same useless child."

She glanced down at Seamus, her gaze softening into something almost… affectionate.

"I'll bring him to his room. This place reeks of blood, it's no place for a human boy."

She began walking out, then paused by the doorway.

"Oh, and Viviane? You're grounded. You won't see him again until the inauguration. So behave."

With that, she disappeared into the hallway, Seamus limp in her arms.

Viviane stood in silence for a moment, her chest rising and falling rapidly.

Then her face twisted into pure rage.

For a few seconds, the room was silent. The only sound was the old clock on the wall, as if mocking her.

Then her scream shattered the air. "FUCKING BITCH!"

She grabbed the nearest chair and hurled it into the wall. It exploded into splinters. The table was next, kicked so hard it flipped and crashed, taking down the lamp with it.

"MATRIACH MY ASS!!! YOU ARE JUST A USURPER! A SLAVE!"

She stomped across the room like a storm, smashing everything she could touch. Her claws tore through the expensive velvet curtains.

The ornate dresser shattered under her heel. Glass cracked and rained like glittering dust as she punched the mirror, over and over, until her knuckles were bloodied, dark, and poisonous.

But she didn't care.

Her body trembled violently, teeth clenched, chest heaving with ragged breaths.

"AND HOW DARE SHE! HOW DARE SHE TOUCH HIM!" She stared at the ruined bed where Seamus had just been.

Her voice shook with rage, twisted rage that couldn't be explained with words. "THAT ROTTEN CORPSE LAID HER FILTHY HANDS ON HIM!"

She dropped to her knees, still naked, her hands digging into the floor like claws.

"Seamus… my Seamus… I found you first," she whispered, now sobbing with laughter, her golden eyes wide and glassy.

"You were mine before all of them. You love me. You love me. You told me you love me."

Her head snapped up like a beast sniffing blood.

"You're not allowed to love anyone else, okay?" she said to no one, to him, to the image of Seamus her mind conjured behind those broken eyes.

"Not her. Not any of them. Especially not that old witch."

She crawled back toward the wall and slammed her head against it once, and more and more.

"Stupid… stupid… stupid whore…" she hissed through gritted teeth.

"Treating me like a child. Like I'm nothing. Like I'm some broken toy." She let out a sick giggle. "I'll show you broken."

She stood slowly, her long red hair a mess, her body smeared with dirt, blood, and sweat. Her expression was unhinged now. No longer the seductive stepsister, just a monster with a shattered crown.

"FINE. FINE! YOU WANT TO CONTROL ME? LOCK ME UP? KEEP HIM FROM ME?" she shouted at the door, even though no one was there.

"THEN I'LL BURN THIS WHOLE FUCKING FAMILY TO THE GROUND."

Her voice dropped to a whisper, low and calculating, "I'll kill them all. My perfect mother. That quiet freak aunt. Even that bitch sister of mine when she gets back."

She stepped forward, barefoot through shattered glass, her lips curling into a deranged smile.

"I'll become the matriarch. The true Velstrath queen."

She opened the broken window and looked out at the mist-covered forest that stretched beyond the manor.

"And then…"

Her smile widened as her eyes softened, sickly sweet, almost loving.

"I'll take Seamus back… and keep him forever."
