Sometimes we just float in the air, I know it's not real yet I want to have an happy ending. An ending what I am running away from. The ending where soft moon light hit us under shades of trees, Allan putting the glowing ring on my finger magical. He brushes off the frizzy hair and smiles.
"I'm glad you are safe" The soft white moon light is no more, his face covered in tears and mine with blood. The sudden loud screech making us pull closer, it isn't romantic anymore yet my heart is at peace now that is he is by my side everything will be fine.
I held him tighter feeling his heartbeat and snuggling in his warm arms. within a blink I feel something pressing my stomach and I took a step back to see his stomach was torn and the knife was poking from the other end. I looked up in horror , the face I fell in love all over again was coughing up blood. It's not like anything that had happened before, it's something we might not escape unscathed.
With a gasp I woke up. Everyone are still lying down just like I remember. But why did I wake up. And there's no one around.
It feels like a lot of time had passed, but I'm not at all aware of the time system. I don't want to sleep again, for some reason everything feels annoying right now.
I started walking out of them camp, the moon was beautiful, just like the dream, but there's no way Allan will come up here. Why would he, I was doing fine till this session. Maybe deep down I want to kill him for what he did. I know it wasn't it. that feeling of losing everything when I saw him injured can scar me for life.
I just kept walking in the pathway. I have the worst headache though, feels uneasy to even sit or stand. My body is aching just lying down or listening all day. There's a chair up here near the waterfall, someone must have put it to watch the nature. It sure looks magical under moonlight.
If only I didn't have the headache I could have enjoyed it. Still I take the time to sit and enjoy the view. They water flowing effortlessly, the sound of water is masking the noise from insects. With a few blinks I went into sleep state again.
Something feels irritating, it's my wrists is it tied up? I need to open my eyes but I want to sleep so badly. I can feel the heat was there a fire pit ? No I need to open my eyes , with lot of struggle and droopy eyes all I could see are bunch of animals, turn my head to wards left and try to force open my eyes and bend my neck backwards changing my view to more animals, they look like animals with something on their head. The fire where is it coming from, left no the right yeah the right side of the me, I can hear the fire now it's burning my nose. My legs feel numb.
They are chanting something. I am able to understand it. who is speaking I'm so sleepy.
A loud cry woke her up a deer head was thrown in front of her knees, sending panic into every inch of her body.
I turned around I could see people standing far away from me and killing animals one by one why are they running away was the first thought, until I noticed they were all tied up with heavy chains, that reminded me of feeling tied up, I looked at myself I was sitting with hand tied from behind and then I knew I was next and there's no one around to help me.
I couldn't utter a word the cried of animals filled my ears even though I closed my eyes my brain did not stop showing the horrifying truth that took place in front of me.
I don't understand what's happening or why it's happening. I don't see an exit a way to escape from it all. And all the animals are dead now and their heads are lines up in Front of me. The blood splatter on the dress is marking my soul. I can hear it the cry of something which not human and not an animal. A scream from that thing is making the whole place shake. I can feel it it's running towards us with lot of speed and force. Will I be eaten alive? But why kill all animals. Are we a sacrifice?
Am I dreaming ? I took deep breaths to clear my head and shut of all the noise. I kept saying it's not real, it's not real over and over. Until the voices faded away and my body felt less restricted. And cool Breeze made my hair flutter and the sounds of water brought me back to reality and when I woke up.
I was still sleep on the chair near the water, alone no animal, no humans just me and the nature. I couldn't comprehend what had happened. Bad dream over and over doesn't seem normal to me. Something is wrong and I want to know what it is.
Going inside the forest is a danger, and being inside is risky not to mention everyone else were asleep.
As I was still thinking. I heard footsteps and murmuring I quickly hid next to the chair then slowly walked up to the trees, my legs were shaking and my eyes were blur but the moonlight and river masked it.
"Don't you think something is off. Even though we are the organizers of the event. The leader spends more time with that girl." Someone spoke.
"Don't you know she used to be with IAG and is actually better at teaching compared to all the teachers." Another person replies
"But she is young though. And I heard her talking like a total amateur." He speaks with a confused state.
"I find that odd too. But those who were here more than 4 years definitely know her. It's not everyday you see a cheerful person with twisted personality." The second person replied.
" That's unsettling. I just want to go home and not get involved with these rich people." He speaks as he sits down on the chair.
" Well whatever it is our boss is aware of it. She and this IAG head lady are childhood friends. I just heard it when I was passing by." He takes a seat on the table.
"Figures, it's either money, blackmail or friendships. They all reel blood." Person on chair speaks.
" You mean few hours before right. I don't know they smell like that but I entered right after I ate lunch just to wash up curry i split. God I regretted it.
The smell was so overwhelming I couldn't control it I puked. When I asked the cleaning lady she said it's the smell of five purifying bath all mentors and the head took. And they have been doing that ever since they got here." He shook his head in discomfort.
" God I do don't wanna be you. What's weird for me is that how everyone is asleep. Usually people snore or move around. Here it's nothing. Am I the one with bad habits or do rich people sleep differently." Both laughed briefly.
"I got curious and checked the pulse and breathing. They are all alive."
"Just thinking about then sends shivers. Just one more day to go." He spoke in relief.
" Yeah ." Both of them later started speaking about random things and eventually their watch started beeping and they left.
This time gave me the time I needed to gain consciousness and calm myself.
I tried to follow them back and everyone were awake now and started to walk around.
I quickly made my way to the place where I had kept my phone. I kept searching while everyone were yawning and getting off the sleep. My bag was no where to be found and I kept searching aggressively.
"Nora what are you doing here" cold hands of Tina touched my shoulder. The scent of blood on her fingers which were on my shoulder smelt like the nightmare.
"You scared me. I was just looking for my phone and bag." I spoke.
" Why now?" Tina asked. I wanted tell her about the nightmare but the blood in her hands threw me off. What if she is one of them. Taking a different approach would be wise.
"I... I really enjoyed this session today. I want to check up on Zuv so that full focus is in the session. I want to let my self be in peace." I replied without meaning a word of it. But Tina seems to like that answers. She is smiling.
"Is that so ? Then do it quickly. We should go have dinner after this." Tina suggests.
"Could you give me our phone I will try calling to mine. I don't see it anywhere." I asked and Tina was surprised and then after a second she nodded. And pulled her phone out of the pocket. A person who was so persistent and not having phone had the phone by their side the entire time.
"Un. This I just grabbed it to call my mom and tell her everything is fine ." Tina smiled. And dialed my number and gave it to me.
The phone started ringing but I couldn't hear it. Was it in silent. I quickly smile passes one both of our faces. Then someone started talking to Tina and she stepped a little away from me. But kept a close eye on me.
And suddenly someone received the call
"Hello" Allan spoke on the other end. A gush of relief, a smile I couldn't mask anymore.
