"You think you can kill me? You're far too arrogant, Yoru!"
Cao Cao roared as Yoru charged in, the holy spear in his hand gleaming with an ominous golden light. Despite its name as a holy weapon, it exuded an unsettling aura—truly worthy of a weapon that had once slain a god.
"Pierce him—Holy Spear!"
Knowing Yoru's abilities, Cao Cao chose not to meet his attack head-on. With a sharp shout, the spear in his hands tore through the fog with ease, thrusting straight toward Yoru.
Frost gathered before Yoru, forming a magnificent diamond-shaped ice shield that blocked the spear's strike.
The weapon that could pierce the body of a god failed to break through even a single ice shield. Cao Cao's face showed brief surprise, but he quickly recovered. After all, that strike hadn't even unleashed ten percent of the spear's power.
"Hmph… this frost power… truly an irritating force."
Coldly muttering, Cao Cao swung his spear in a wide arc, golden and blazing light growing ever brighter.
"Let me show you—the true power of a Longinus! Balance Breaker—unseal! True Longinus: Holy Spear of the White Night!"
The moment he spoke, the mist-shrouded space was flooded with an even more chaotic energy. As Yoru's figure was swallowed by the chaos, the spear in Cao Cao's hands blazed with a seraphic white light.
The chaotic world was illuminated by that heavenly glow—black and white, chaos and radiance—two opposing essences blending in an unnatural harmony.
The holy spear swelled to hundreds of meters long, radiating crushing pressure.
"Let's see if you can withstand this—my Balance Breaker!"
With a furious roar, Cao Cao hurled the massive spear down toward Yoru, its destructive force threatening to tear apart the entire simulated Kyoto.
"Take them and get Yasaka and her daughter far away," Yoru ordered, his voice trembling—not with fear, but with excitement.
It had been so long since he'd felt this way… this thrill that made his body shake before overwhelming power. The last time… was against the King of Heroes. Now, it was against the descendant of the legendary warlord, Cao Cao. It stirred his blood.
He stood still, watching the holy spear fall toward him.
"As you wish… I'll show you!"
Roaring with a voice no less forceful than Cao Cao's, Yoru's killing frost and malice surged skyward, colliding head-on with the descending spear.
The space between them split open, a colossal rift spewing violent spatial storms and energy vortices. The detonation rocked all of simulated Kyoto, the blast so powerful that if it struck, the entire city—real Kyoto included—would be obliterated.
When the explosion finally subsided, Cao Cao emerged first, smirking in triumph.
"Hmph… Arrogant fool. Turned to dust under my Balance Breaker, didn't you? This is the opponent you feared, Vali? If this is all he can do, then I'm sorely disappointed."
From high above, he declared his victory—only for a hand to suddenly emerge from the spatial rift and seize him by the throat.
"This is your Balance Breaker? Pathetic. Not worth looking at."
"W-What?! How… how are you completely unharmed?!"
Cao Cao's voice shook with disbelief.
"Ah… I had some expectations, but in the end, you've disappointed me. I didn't realize I'd grown this strong."
With an almost casual squeeze, Yoru prepared to crush his neck.
"N-No! You can't—don't kill me!"
Cao Cao's panic-filled pleas were ignored. Just before Yoru could finish him, the space behind him tore open, and a skeletal claw shot out.
Yoru recognized it instantly—Hades. It seemed the Underworld's ruler had close ties with the Khaos Brigade.
"Lord! Save me!"
Seizing the chance, Cao Cao cried out for help. The skeletal claw lunged with soul-crushing force, enough that even Yoru was forced to momentarily evade. That brief opening allowed the claw to seize Cao Cao.
Clearly uninterested in battle, Hades immediately pulled him away, not caring about anyone else's fate.
"You might save him once… but can you save him a second time?"
Yoru's cold smile said it all—this was the moment he'd been waiting for.
He had long since gained a grasp of spatial power—not enough for fine control, but enough to destroy.
"Freeze!"
With a vicious grip toward the sky, the world itself cracked. All around, space fractured—but where Hades's claw had opened a rift, it was frozen solid by Yoru's overwhelming power.
With a sharp crack, the claw—along with Cao Cao—was shattered into nothing.
"Accursed brat! Next time we meet will be your death!"
Furious at losing Cao Cao and an arm in one strike, Hades's enraged roar echoed.
But even so, he dared not show himself, retreating in humiliation.
