He blinked once, his mind hazy, then froze. There was warmth against his side, a soft weight resting on his arm. He looked down. Mayla's head was lying over his shoulder, her hair scattered across the pillow like strands of silk, her lips parted slightly as she slept. The sheet covered them both, tangled halfway down their waists.
For a moment, Trafalgar just stared, hardly believing it. Then a single thought hit him.
