Upon her return from her journey in the Seal's depths, peace in Uraleve was only temporary. The nights still contained mysterious whispers which crept through the forests and whispered rivers, portending something yet to be revealed.
One evening, as Layla sat by the shimmering river, she noticed an unusual movement in the shade of the trees. A dim light flickered among the branches, and it was from a tiny object that floated on the surface of the water.
Carefully, she went over and discovered a little, sealed glass vial, within which was a neatly wrapped slab of paper. She opened the vial, drew out the paper, and read:
"To the Bearer of Light,
If this letter has found you, take heed that the darkness has not been fully vanquished. There are powers older than the darkness of the Shadow Serpent, stirring deep within the ancient woods.".
Find the "Book of Eternity" in the heart of Uraleve, where the Ancients keep it hidden. Only through knowledge of the past can we protect the future."
Layla's hands trembled, but she could sense a new strength emerging within her chest.
The next day, Layla reunited Eron and Elaine and told them what she had learned.
Eron ground his gravel, "The Book of Eternity. a very old story. It was said to be the key to commanding both light and darkness. If it were to fall into the hands of the wrong person."
Elaine interrupted, "We need to find it first. Time is not in our favor."
A few villagers began preparations for the new quest, where a new chapter of quests would begin, full of mysteries and danger.
