Tension rise as all the noble members of Vaelmars gather upon the Crystal of Awakening. All the official members stood aside as 5 young members of the house will soon be tested for the talent. All their eyes on the Crystal.
While the 5 young members stood in straight horizontal lines waiting for their turns for the test. Some have nervous expression while some just stood with calm. As the lord of the house, Mael the II sat on his throne with his hands over his faces. No one knows what he was thinking right now as he always wears a pale silver mask over his face.
On his right were his wifes, Lady of the southern blue, Lady Morgan was watching with a calm unimpressed expressions.Her looks evokes a sense of tranquility and nobility, while on the other left the person seems to be really out of places as she treats the place like a normal event with occasion. She is Lady Bergen. As she just converse with her son's and daughter which also sat on their own respective seats lower then the lady.
Today is the annual events for the Vaelmars as their youngster will awaken their talents. Youngster of the noble house which varies from 16 - 20 years will be gathering in this events at least two times in their lifetime. Some have their first talent tested while some have already being tested. And this will soon be their last chance to prove their worth to the family.
This is also the last chance for Ovrin, as today is his second time testing, while the 1st one ended in utter failure as he doesn't awaken any mana roots which is essential for noble. Not enough with this, what makes it worse is that he doesn't awaken any Crestpath. Which is the foundation of every ability that a person could have and the only essential path of their life. Without a Crestpath, a person would be considered ordinary and no chance to success in life being the lowest of the low.
Remembering this, Ovrin just sighed while he just momentarily glance at on his step sibling sitting near lady Morgan. One of the talented person that have ever born in the Vaelmars surpassing even the current lord Mael. Isolde Vaelmars, now considered the successor of the Vaelmars. At the age of 16, she awakens strong mana roots, with over 5 high elemental attributes while her Crestpath are even more amazing Maguspath with platinum crest. Which elevate her status to Arcane Saintess immediately. This have sure made a big news on the Evaliance Empire. As it considered to be one the greatest talent in history.
She have the same beauty as her mother, with pale face and slender figure. She breath the spirit of elegance. Her blue oceanic hairs even added the noble over her appearance. But the cold looks throw it all. She seems uninterested in the mundane world especially this events that will surely not even put a scratch on her status.
'Truly a goddess among human, Can I even considered to be a Vaelmars at this points?' He thoughts.
Just that he want to continue he thoughts, a firm and powerful voice lands upon all the members gathered here.

This gesture marks the start of the events, while the person in charge to overlooks the event came out. Which is archmage Meryl, along with her extravagant Magus attire she just stood near the awakening crystal and beckon upon the first member. Now all the eyes came upon the Crystal again.

Mulna is one the the concubines daughter. The person which considered to be his step sibling but nevertheless, they never communicate with each other as she belongs to the other branch houses, nod her heads and walk over. Then she puts her hands on the Crystal.
As soon as she puts her hands, the crystal immediately glow with small blue light, which means she have ordinary roots. And eventually it turns into small white light accompanied by blue and green lights, which indicated she have low attribute of water, light and woods. But this isn't over yet as, the process still have one of the most important parts the Crestpath. Unlike the attribute test, this one looks a bit times. And then suddenly the crystal glowed up, accompanied by a symbol and lines materialising a shield symbol. Which makes merely eventually speak.
" Mulna, ordinary mana roots, low attribute water, wood and light,...Bronze warrior Crestpath"
Upon saying that, the looks on Mulna isn't too good but she just accept the truth and walk away giving her places to next member. As she walks away, murmurs and insult came upon her.

Hearing that, Mulna just kept quiet but Ovrin could see that her hands are clenched. Which makes him sighed again. While he have faced worse on previous ceremony. And he knows he will bound to get it again if the same things happen.

This Adren also faced the same inulst and mockery. Which made his face sours.

As he puts his hands on the Crystal, a bright blue light came, along with bright blue, green and yellow lights, this events sparks Ovrin eyes. Everyone was high on their knees, watching the mediocre symbol of books emerging, which instantly throw people bad opinions on him. And some have disdain in secret while other breath a sigh of relief especially the Bergen Side.

Hearing those mockery, he stay calm and collected except the last complain seems to make his mouth twitched a bit before continue walking to the platform. Then upon reaching he immediately placed his hands, and soon even a bit late some light cames, which made him surprised.

Then the time to see his Crestpath to emerge.He and the other awaits, he waits and waits until there's a bit light but suddenly the light turns into a dark circle immediately before disappearing.
This made Meryl a bit questioned as she never seen this types of Crestpath before or even it is considered a crestpath.but according to her usual manual. This is considered untalented or no crest at all.
"Ovrin Vaelmars, ordinary mana roots, ordinary light and fire attributes, mediocre wood attribute...and...ughh..hollow Crestpath" as soon as the announcement made, the whole hall just burst into laughter and ridicule,

Meanwhile Lady Morgan remains calm along with Isolde and Ismael, nothing made them laugh at all. But it's continue for a several seconds, before

Before the person could even speak further, the pressure of the main hall suddenly intensified especially the last speaker as he immediately kneel on both his knees suffocating. The pressure seems to be coming from the Lord Mael.
'Something could be spoken and some cannot be worded', Ovrin thought while clenching his fists. But then he just smiled wryly to the ground. And then, The main hall just turns into silence as the Lord stand up and spoke his final words.
"This ceremony ends, and these members should know what to decide from now" as long as he says that he gesture the head butler to do their works. With that he stride out from the main hall accompanied by his wife's and his sucessor daughter. along with the mocking Bergen, Now Ovrin just sighed as he knows what will be happening soon. Once this ceremony ends his path is already decided.
