Damien nodded curtly at her, his expression remaining calm and composed.
The woman, however, didn't seem bothered by his lack of enthusiasm.
Her soft smile remained as she placed a hand against her chest lightly and said, "My name's Susan."
Her tone was gentle and patient, the kind that carried a faint trace of practiced professionalism.
She then tilted her head slightly, studying him with mild curiosity. "I noticed you've just been standing there, looking around the guild. What are you here for?"
Damien's eyes drifted back to her, the faint light from the lanterns overhead glinting across his irises. "I'm here to trade some items," he replied plainly.
Susan's expression brightened slightly, her lips curving into a small, pleased smile.
"Ohh, I see," she said softly, her voice laced with a welcoming tone. "Then follow me."
Without waiting for his response, she turned around, her neat yellow and black dress flowing slightly with the motion.
