It was a natural reaction on Caziel's part when facing off against someone he couldn't trust and considered an enemy.
Belgiore obviously had a hidden agenda and could not be trusted especially since he was shadowing Caziel just a little too close for comfort.
Their comrades were missing and this demon deliberately chose that time to question his judgment in front of others trying to reduce his credibility.
Caziel just needed to remain focused and try not to be hindered by Belgiore's actions and open hostile towards him.
Resolving the immediate problem by finding their lost companions was more important than dealing with hate and provocation from Belgiore.
Still Belgiore's actions had some effect on the others, Caziel noted a slight shift in how the majority of lesser demons now viewed him.
