Before Andras could set Robin's mind at ease there was a loud clanging sound from above.
The alarm rang out shrilly and loud signalling to everyone aboard the ship 'The Vulcan' to find a place of safety if not in the line of duty to defend the ship.
"Enemy ship sighted!"
"I repeat! Enemy ship sighted!"
"The Vulcan is under attack!"
At this point it was no doubt that everyone, in their private talks paused mid conversation as only the repeated shout of warning of a ship in the distance could be heard echoing.
A second later loud slamming of doors and passageways filled with men running to their assigned post could be heard.
"It sounds like we are about to have some uninvited guests so heed my warning and don't leave the room. We'll discuss this when I return," said Andras as he pulled his shirt over his chest.
From the fact that a particular distinct bell had rung meant that this was a serious predicament.
