Chapter 5 Injury – Fallen Mother

Facing Zhong Niu's confused gaze, my mother saw in his eyes confusion, strangeness, and a pitiful look. In the end, my mother couldn't bear it, afraid of hurting Zhong Niu's feelings.

Because Zhong Niu had been adopted into our family by my mother, she didn't want him to feel burdened or misunderstood, so she agreed to his request.

"Alright, Zhong Niu, you can help me with the dishes. Fan Fan, don't just sit there, go get a cloth and wipe the table," my mother said.

"Okay," I replied, grabbing a cloth to wipe the table while Zhong Niu carried the dishes to the kitchen.

My mother also went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. After a while, I heard the clinking of dishes, which I didn't pay much attention to. But soon, there was a sudden "clang" from the kitchen, as if something had fallen to the floor.

I got up and quickly went to the kitchen. Standing at the doorway, my eyes widened at the sight.

In the kitchen, my mother was being held in Zhong Niu's arms, their bodies pressed closely together.

At home, my mother wore casual clothes just a simple, thin top on her upper body. Her figure was already full and graceful, and now, being held by Zhong Niu, she leaned back slightly, making her full and ample chest stand out even more.

Her slender, willow-like waist was tightly wrapped by one of Zhong Niu's arms. His body was trembling a bit after all, he was too thin, and my mother was an adult, so he couldn't support her for long.

Still, Zhong Niu gritted his teeth and held onto my mother without letting go. Shifting my gaze, I saw that behind my mother was the stove if she fell backward, her head would hit the stove, with unimaginable consequences.

Maybe fearing a fall, my mother instinctively put an arm around the back of Zhong Niu's neck. Her breathing was rapid, her ample chest rising and falling in waves.

My mother looked a bit flustered but finally calmed herself, stood up to steady herself, and suddenly noticed something. With a surprised "Eh?", she looked at Zhong Niu's other hand.

Not only my mother, but I also then realized that Zhong Niu was gripping the blade of a kitchen knife, blood dripping from his hand and staining the floor with a large red patch.

"Ah! Zhong Niu, why are you grabbing the knife?" my mother exclaimed in shock and worry.

"Auntie, when you fell just now, the knife also dropped. I was afraid… it would hurt you, so…" Zhong Niu said with a simple smile, though his face was a bit pale.

"You were afraid I'd get hurt?" My mother was stunned for a while, then sighed softly, "Oh, you silly child. Come, let me disinfect and bandage your hand."

She took the knife from Zhong Niu and quickly led him out of the kitchen to the living room, had him sit on the sofa, and began searching for the medical kit, which we always kept at home.

"Fan Fan, come here!" my mother suddenly called.

"What is it?"

"We're out of bandages. Go to the pharmacy outside the community and buy some. Also, get a pack of amoxicillin. Hurry." She handed me a hundred yuan.

I replied and rushed downstairs to the pharmacy to buy the items, then came back.

When I returned to the living room, it was empty. I wondered where everyone was. Suddenly, I heard my mother's voice from a bedroom.

"You're so stubborn, hurry and give me your hand so Auntie can disinfect it."

I quietly approached the bedroom my mother had prepared for Zhong Niu. The door wasn't closed, just a crack open. I gently pushed it a bit and saw inside.

Zhong Niu was lying on the bed, his right hand hidden under the covers, refusing to take it out. My mother sat at the bedside, her beautiful face showing some anxiety.

"Auntie, I can handle it. It'll heal in a few days," Zhong Niu said softly.

"You're so stubborn. This isn't a small wound if it gets infected, it'll be bad. Hurry, give me your hand, or I'll get angry!" my mother said more sternly.

Zhong Niu bit his lip lightly, and finally, with no choice, took out his right hand. There was a gash on it, still bleeding. My mother quickly used a tissue to wipe away the blood, then leaned forward.

She placed Zhong Niu's hand flat on her thigh, palm up, to avoid touching the wound and causing pain.

My mother was wearing dark gray yoga pants. Her full, rounded thighs looked even more shapely as she sat on the bed. After placing Zhong Niu's hand on her thigh, she carefully used a cotton swab dipped in disinfectant to clean the wound.

She was very careful and gentle. But as she leaned over, her neckline dipped, and Zhong Niu's face quickly flushed, because his line of sight could see right into my mother's ample cleavage.

He couldn't see clearly, though my mother always wore a bra, whether at home or outside; that was her habit.

Zhong Niu's expression was awkward. Through the lowered neckline, he saw the snowy skin below my mother's elegant swan-like neck, then the black lace of her bra wrapping two proud, full mounds, with a deep, white valley faintly visible. The endless allure seemed to draw Zhong Niu's soul in.

For a moment, Zhong Niu's face turned red again, his breathing quickened, and his expression grew a bit strained.

My mother suddenly looked up and saw Zhong Niu's expression. "What's wrong, Zhong Niu? Does it hurt a lot?"

"Mm."

"Bear with it, it'll be over soon."

"Auntie…"

"What is it?"

"You… you're really nice."

"Am I?"

"Yes." Zhong Niu nodded vigorously, then lowered his head and softly said, "I've never had a mother. I grew up with my dad. I envy others, and I envy Fang Fan…"

My mother's hands paused. She looked up and smiled at Zhong Niu, saying, "From now on, just treat me as your mother."

"Really?" … "Of course."

My mother's eyes were full of tenderness. "From now on, you'll live here. Whatever Zhong Niu has, you'll have too. I'll treat you like my own son, and I'll never mistreat you."

"Thank you, Auntie!"

Zhong Niu became emotional and suddenly threw himself into my mother's arms.
