Chapter 13 - The Fire Fist’s Shadow

The Fire Fist's Shadow

It starts with a whisper.

Some low-level gang survivor—face bruised, teeth missing—mutters it in a bar across the island:

"Kid fights like he's got blood from the old Fire Fist era…"

That's all it takes.

In the slums? That name still echoes.Titanium Fist Creature. The living warhead. The man who ended a civil war with two fists and a grin.

They say when he punched, the sky cracked. When he smiled, cities burned.

Back in the district, Cainen's beating the hell out of a punching post made from stone bricks and twisted metal.

Cainen (grunting between hits): "Faster… harder… stronger…"

His fists are bleeding. Wrapped in cloth. Bone peeking through the skin.

He doesn't stop.

DMK floats beside him, eyes narrowed.

DMK: "You can't punch your way into a legacy. It's born. Or it's burned."

Cainen ignores him. Punches harder.

CRACK—Stone explodes. Blood drips.

Later, while treating his hands, Kaito walks in, tossing an old article onto the table.

It's yellowed. Torn.A headline from 20 years ago:

"Fire Fist Creature Levels Ten Cities in Thirty Seconds — World on Alert."

Kaito: "They're talking about you like you're him."

Cainen (scowling): "I'm not."

Kaito: "Doesn't matter. Perception's power."

He pulls out a photo. Black-and-white. Blurry.

Titanium Fist Creature, mid-air, one arm back, a smile on his face, an entire building erupting behind him.

Cainen (quiet): "…He really smiled like that?"

Kaito (nods): "Right before he erased everything in front of him."

Flash cut — the government war room.

A younger official slams a fist on the table.

Official: "I want confirmation. That boy in District 9 — is he related to Creature?"

Silence.

Admiral: "Can't say. No records. That whole bloodline's off the grid."

Official: "Then make sure he doesn't grow into that shadow. End him before he steps into it."

Back at the camp, Cainen's alone now. Staring at the article.Looking at the fists he's been training with.

Burned. Cracked. Broken.

Cainen (to himself): "I don't want his shadow. I'll build my own fire."

But deep down, he feels it…

That fire's already lit.

And it's growing.
