Playing games with a bunch of ordinary students, even without using Electro-Magnetic Force, Bai Mo was practically bullying them.
Using less than ten percent of his strength, he had already broken records in various events.
Standing long jump: 3.5 meters. Pull-ups: 50 in one minute. Grip strength: 120 kg. Lung capacity: 10,000 ml. For these last two, it wasn't that Bai Mo's ability stopped there—it was just that the equipment's limits couldn't measure any higher.
As for the 50-meter and 400-meter dashes, Bai Mo didn't even break a sweat, finishing in a measly 5.5 seconds and 40 seconds, respectively.
The PE teacher in charge of the tests was practically on his knees, begging Bai Mo to join the track and field team.
After all, these numbers completely shattered world records!
If their school produced a world champion, it would bring immense prestige, and the teacher's bonuses would be substantial!
Unfortunately, Bai Mo seemed utterly indifferent to the rough-edged PE teacher's pleas. "Sorry, but this is exactly why I said sports aren't interesting to me," he replied.
"After all, a martial artist like me bullying athletes is just unfair, isn't it?"
And that wasn't even considering the fact that he practiced Electro-Magnetic Martial Arts!
Did they even understand the weight of being an Electro-Magnetic Martial (Mad) God (Lunatic)?
In the end, the PE class turned into Bai Mo's one-man show. By tomorrow, new legends about him would likely spread throughout the school.
As for his classmates, who had initially thought he was just bragging at lunch, they now looked at him with genuine admiration.
After all, when men encountered someone they couldn't hope to match, aside from a few muttered complaints, there was always a bit of respect in their hearts.
After changing out of his gym clothes under the awed gazes of his male classmates, Bai Mo casually returned to the classroom for the last lesson of the day.
However, when he got back, he found several pink envelopes stuffed in his desk drawer.
Seeing the hearts drawn on them, Bai Mo couldn't help but feel curious.
After all, this was his first time receiving love letters.
Just as he was about to examine them, Katou Megumi, who had been planning to talk to him, couldn't resist teasing him.
"Bai Mo-kun, you've really made a splash today. But then again, you're already good-looking, with a great physique, and now you've shown off such incredible athletic talent. No wonder so many girls are writing you love letters."
"Oh? Is that so?" Bai Mo smirked. "Is there one from you in here, Katou?"
Katou blinked, then tilted her head slightly. "Why would you think that?"
"Ah, I just wanted to see what kind of love letter you'd write, that's all."
"So… Bai Mo-kun wants me to write you a love letter?"
"Not really. It'd feel like I was begging you to pity me with one."
With that, Bai Mo patted the four letters in his hand. "Hmph! See? I've got girls who like me too!"
"Yeah, yeah." Katou's response was utterly dismissive. "Aren't you going to open them? They are love letters meant for you, after all."
"Nah, I'd rather not. If possible, I'd like the first love letter I receive to be from a girl I actually like. So I'll have to apologize for not appreciating their feelings."
With that, Bai Mo stuffed the letters back into his desk without opening them.
"Bai Mo-kun, you're not planning to read them alone at home later, are you?"
"Of course not!" Bai Mo feigned outrage. "Do I really seem like the type to roll around on my bed, giggling over love letters?"
Katou didn't say anything, but her eyes spoke volumes.
"Damn it! Fine, I'll prove it!"
Pulling a lighter from his bag, Bai Mo set the three love letters on fire right in front of Katou. "Hah! See? I'm not that kind of person!"
"Sure, sure. But Bai Mo-kun, you're not allowed to play with fire in the classroom. Also… isn't this a bit cruel to the girls who wrote them?"
"Whose fault is that?! It's this damn competitive spirit of mine!"
He hadn't felt an ounce of competitiveness during PE class, yet Katou's few teasing words had driven him to burn the letters as some kind of declaration. Had he fallen into some kind of trap?
Katou tilted her head again, her expression seeming to ask, Hadn't he?
"Katou, you're going to lose me like this."
"Huh? When did I ever 'have' you to begin with, Bai Mo-kun?"
"…Never mind. I overestimated my importance in your heart, Katou-sama."
"Mmm, that's right. After all, unlike me, Bai Mo-kun is very popular."
Was there a hint of sarcasm there? Had Katou been studying the art of verbal warfare?
Before their banter could continue, the bell for the last class rang.
Their final lesson was World History, taught by their homeroom teacher, Kadowaki Mafuyu. As the diligent teacher stepped into the classroom, Bai Mo, who had been about to tease Katou further, obediently settled into his seat.
He had to at least pretend to behave for Mafuyu's sake.
That said, World History was the subject Bai Mo cared about the least.
After all, when it came to history, which civilization could compare to Donghuang's? Three of the four ancient civilizations had crumbled—studying the history of others was pointless compared to focusing on Donghuang's own.
Listening to Mafuyu drone on about the history of the Chouguo (a stand-in for the USA) and its colonial past—how settlers scalped natives and stole land—was far less interesting than flipping through the culinary guides provided by Totsuki Academy.
So while Kadowaki Mafuyu lectured about world history, Bai Mo was fully engrossed in his cooking books.
Mafuyu, however, had been keeping an eye on the troublemaker who had been late that morning and then talked his way out of punishment.
At first, she had been pleased to see him seemingly paying attention. But after catching a glimpse of the book on his desk, her expression darkened.
Taking a deep breath (which strained the buttons on her uniform), she called out sharply, "Bai Mo-kun, answer the question I just asked!"
"Huh?"
