Chapter 3 - 3 | Weird place

It felt like the most chaotic day of my life. No matter what anyone could say, I've been prepared to go to school, anticipating the normal life of a student trying to learn.

The next moment I'm spending my time in a random endless grass field only to witness it shatter into fragments and be sent to where I am now, some unknown land.

***

It's not bad being carried around.

I woke up and unexplainedly found myself being carried by a man. He seemed to be quite tall as he was carrying me through a thicket of trees.

Knowing I was in a forest, I figured it'd be best to cooperate with the unknown man carrying me around since there's always countless stories about the dangers lurking in the forest.

Watching the rapidly fading trees, my body eventually came to a stop and I was tossed towards the ground.

With a thud, my body bounced a couple of times before it settled on the ground. The man looked down at me and I looked back at him whilst propping myself up.

As the wind blew, the man eventually spoke.

"Do you know why I brought you here?", I shook my head indicating I had no idea.

He continued, "You possess an interesting aura indicating you're some foreign existence."

The vague response made it hard to reply so I could only nod my head.

"I'm willing to take you under my wing and allow you to survive in this world."

Nodding my head again, I thought maybe this man might want something from me in return so I waited for him to continue.

"Of course, not for free. After I'm done with my teachings, you will have to carry my name with you."

"In this world, a person's name carries weight wherever they go. The amount of titles corresponding to said name indicates prestige and influence."

"Do you agree to carry my name in return for me teaching you to survive?"

Without hesitation, I nodded and I soon developed an identity in this world.

My new name in this world was now Tai Brooch, Seventh King.

I woke up with a startle, sweat dropped from my forehead and my body felt chills as my heart was beating rapidly with no pause.

W-what was that?

I glanced around the room and memories continually flew through my mind. It seems that I've been reborn in a new world.

Once, I was a ruler of a world. I had been reborn after my lifespan had ended and entered the cycle of reincarnation only to end up reincarnating into a whole different world with different laws and rules.

I had been known as the Absolute Goddess.

Pinnacle of the world, strongest woman to reach immortality, and the peak of combat.

I was unmatched in that world and now I had been reborn, do I want to continue that path?

Currently, I seem to be a mortal at the moment and I looked the same as my previous life.

I had a family in this current life and I seem to have lived happily so far.

The only downside was that I was in a prestigious family that had countless children and branches, making it one of those problematic families where we would compete for the head position.

It's too much of a hassle to fight over some irrelevant position.

Thus, I decided to first accumulate some power before leaving the family.

I would need to first figure out the power system of this world and see if it was any similar to my other world.

Circulating a breathing technique, I tried to see if I could grasp any sort of concept or laws.

Time passed and I discovered nothing.

It seems that I'd have to investigate the library to acquire some information.

***

On my way to the family library, I noticed the architecture of this place seemed quite different, more advanced in comparison.

In my old world, people would have to kill to live and to live was to fight. The endless fighting had slowly engulfed the world in blood and as blood flowed, rivers became tainted and everyone had to achieve strength beyond belief to survive.

One could say that the world was made to kill us and we had to fight both the world and ourselves.

Regardless, my time in that world is over and now I'm in this world, seemingly more peaceful, advanced, and orderly.

Basking in the breath of fresh air, I could feel that my lungs felt quite healthy. Seems in this life, I can achieve power much easier with a clean and healthy body.

Soon enough, I had reached the library but no one was around.

Walking through the aisles, I located information about the world and tried to skim through everything.

In short, this world was indeed similar to my old world, almost related.

It seems this world had a higher plane of existence than the one I used to be in.

Instead of cultivating Qi, they had cultivated something called Divinity.

If I were to compare the two, Qi would be like a mist of water while Divinity would be a bucket of water.

The quality and quantity was different, no wonder I couldn't gather any through breathing techniques.

It seems that I would have to find a way to cultivate this energy and then I'd have to find a new method of obtaining power.

It was unfortunate that all my old methods wouldn't work in this world but it was good news that I had somehow ended up in a greater world.

It's a welcome change that I was happy to accept, my name now being Yui Herald.
