The Ricardo Group headquarters loomed before us, a tower of glass and steel that seemed to touch the clouds. Nathaniel walked beside me, his presence commanding as always. Despite the early hour, employees were already scurrying around like bees in a hive.
"You look tense," Nathaniel commented as we approached the main entrance.
I smoothed down my blazer. "Just getting into work mode."
"By the way," he added casually, "I've got some information about Griffin Rocky that we should discuss later."
My heart skipped a beat at the mention of Griffin, but I kept my expression neutral. "Sounds important."
As we entered the lobby, Nathaniel was immediately pulled into a conversation with the head of security. He nodded toward the elevators. "Go ahead. I'll catch up."
