There's a question I want to ask you all... Would you all be interested in seeing a FATE fanfic by me?
A friend of mine introduced me to FGO, and it's pretty goated so far. That then made me binge-watch the anime, which was superb, by the way. I fully recommend it.
But that was me a month ago, and just out of curiosity, I decided to go and binge-read the wiki. That's where I found out about the Britain Lost Belt, which then introduced me to Lancer Artoria... then I read more and more about Morgan le Fay, and eventually came across Merlin (the Prototype version), and I got an idea...
An OC(s), Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree + Dark souls stuff, and kingdom building, all mixed with the FATE universe.
I've also been playing a game called Sovereign Tower, which definitely helped fuel the kingdom-building side of things.
Meaning, this whole thing will be an AU, but it'll still be the FATE world. So these characters will still be a part of the story, etc. etc.
Now, much like my other stories, this will also be a harem. But I'm still going to handle it the same way I've handled my other two.
Like I said in my ZZZ fic, the protagonist isn't going to end up with characters simply because they're popular or because they're attractive. If a relationship doesn't make sense for both characters, it won't happen. Every romantic relationship will be built on chemistry, shared experiences, and natural character development rather than simply existing to add another girl to the roster. I mean, there is some bias in this case, but that's beside the point. I still want to build these relationships as naturally as I can and make them feel like they actually belong in the story.
Though, there's one other thing that will make this fic a little different.
This fic will also have a deuteragonist.
For anyone who doesn't know, a deuteragonist is basically the secondary main character - the second most important character in the narrative after the protagonist. A good example of what I mean would be Lumine and Aether from Genshin Impact, or Belle and Wise from ZZZ. I'm saying "or" in this case because whichever character you don't choose becomes the deuteragonist.
The protagonist will be the knight, while the king will be the deuteragonist. The MC's name will be Frederick, but for title's sake, it'll be Sir Frederick the Golden.
And the king will be called King Garroway.
The kingdom's name will be... Aelindor.
