Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Bit of Viv

Vivica cradled her left arm with her right. Her shoulder felt swollen and she found it hard to move it. She still felt how it popped when Keith abruptly pulled her arm when she didn't answer him right away. She could taste the blood from where her lip was cut on her teeth after Keith threw her onto the ground.

Vivica waited until he went to a party before she painstakingly gathered her clothes and a towel in a bag. She struggled to sling it onto her good shoulder and trudged towards Jokertown. On her way she saw one of the teachers fly towards Jokertown as well. She recognized him as the husband of her coach from last year. He was probably going to go see if anyone was left in Jokertown.

Vivica slowed down a little. She walked off the path and decided to go directly towards the hot springs. She knew that Shiro also stayed in Jokertown, but they tended to avoid each other. More like Vivica avoided Shiro.

Shiro had tried to talk to her since Vivica started at the school. Vivica, however, would not reciprocate. She knew how her brother and Keith felt about her. She and the third year king were not a couple, and they refused to act like one either. They thought that Shiro should be more 'submissive' to him. However they both could not care less about their standards. George was happily coupled up with the fourth year Ermias, and Shiro stayed to herself.

Vivica was close to the first house in Jokertown. She could see the teacher and Shiro talking. Feilon was studying some broken pieces of a tree. Vivica ignored them, the less she knew the better off she was. Vivica saw lights on in the first house, that must be where Shiro is staying so she continued onto the next yard.

Vivica did her best to undress and put her clothes on a nearby chair. She clutched the towel around her until she was knee deep and sat down. She felt her body relax. The ache in her shoulder was still bothering her. She struggled to get comfortable. Eventually she was comfortable enough to close her eyes and enjoy the hot water. As her stress momentarily left her body, her surroundings became more distant.
