Chapter 307 - Chapter 306: Money Heist ft. Amphoreus

"What? Traveling to the outskirts with Tribios?"

Question marks appeared all over Cerydra's face. Hysilens affirmed her words.

Suddenly, she recalled something.

"Don't tell me… is it for that?"

"I think so."

Thinking of the bigger kid bringing the smaller kids to do trouble, she did not know what to say.

"Zagreus' name will definitely catch fire…"

*****

Amphoreus is born out of the thirteen Titans' powers. The descent of the Black Tide, however, gradually pushed them into madness. This is where the Flame-Chase Prophecy came from.

Only by gathering the Chrysos Heirs, defeating Titans, and reclaiming their Coreflames, something similar to a Herrscher Core, would this world stand a chance against the calamity (i.e., Black Tide).

Incredibly, we only have a single Coreflame by our side.

"What's wrong, Goldie?"

Tribbie's small ship fit three people. I took up Trinnon's place, with the lively Trianne behind me.

"Are you sure it will work? Not using the Century Gate…"

"There's no need to, Lady Trianne."

The Century Gate is basically an 'anywhere door'. Only, each consumption requires 'life'. The more Trianne uses the Century Gate, the more she becomes closer to 'death'.

Tribios' thousand selves dwindled to five hundred partly because of that mechanic. The other reason lay in humanity's shitty nature—leading them to be killed by humans themselves.

"Do you remember the story I told you?"

"Which one?"

"The Magenta Jumpsuit guy."

"Oh! The one that goes Boom!"

Stories are limited to the ones that can 'relate' to them. Cerydra is tied with rulers; Hysilens with melancholic ballads; Aglaea with those who lost their humanity. For Tribios, it would be travelers.

"Also! The mirror that allows him to travel through worlds!"

Trianne stood up from the seat and excitedly grabbed my shoulders from behind.

"Will we see him today?!"

"Yes, yes. I need you two to come with me."

"Goldie, are we heading to Janusopolis?"

Tribbie's calm voice came from the front.

"You got it, Lady Tribbie."

A soft sigh escaped her mouth.

"This is a way too."

The plan is very simple. Janusopolis is a city-state where three temples are built: Oronyx's, Janus', and Talanton's.

Tribios stole Janus' Coreflame, escaped the temple, and spread the Flame-chase prophecy. From Tribbie's intel, the Titan Talanton had long stopped responding to prayers. Only his Coreflame remained, the same as Janus' state.

Oronyx was the last Titan of Fate who is still responding to prayers.

It's best we claim that Coreflame before the Black Tide worsens. I don't care about accelerating the story or whatnot. This cycle is already forgotten by everyone else save for me.

"This speed should be fine."

"Ah?!"

I unbuckled the seatbelt. I could still remember how I laughed when I fit inside Tribbie's little spaceship.

I stood up. Gusts of air brushed my face.

With a flash of light, my line of sight grew taller. The upcoming result was natural—falling down.

"Goldie!"

"Oh no!!!"

I calmly grasped the "belt" in my waist. The black trench coat I wore fluttered as I made a free-fall.

Seeing the ship following my descent, I hesitated no longer. The Destroyer of Worlds' power has been unleashed.

A mirror-like surface swept through us at once.

Hum-!

*****

"Ow, oh! We're going to crash!"

Tribbie has the skills of a fighter jet pilot. She barely missed on the huge pillar.

"We are…"

"Talanton's temple."

The two reveled on the shift of their surroundings.

"Wait, where's Goldie?!"

"Lady Trianne."

His voice came from beside the ship. His hand gripped the edge tightly. It wasn't until Tribbie piloted the ship on the ground did he disembark.

"Phew. That was thrilling."

"You…"

In the end, Tribbie could not retort.

"Goldie's a grown-up now… but who is he?"

Trianne jumped off the landed ship and circled around him. Shi Tian's current appearance was that of a black-haired man. His sleazy look made his laziness apparent.

"He is the man behind the Magenta Jumpsuit."

"Oh. He looks… sleepy? He can beat Trinnon in terms of sleepiness!"

Shi Tian let out a couple of laughs.

"Alright, alright. We are here to steal… borrow a Coreflame." He said. "Lady Tribbie, don't you have any other memories of this place?"

"Mhm." She shook her head. "We will have to explore this place."

'Kadoya Tsukasa' possessed two powers. One was the belt he was wearing. The other was the Aurora Curtain. It gathered its power from Remembrance, requiring memories to be able to teleport to a certain place.

It is an anywhere door without any drawbacks whatsoever.

The three looked around at their surroundings. The huge 'scale' placed at the middle of the room was the place where 'things' are 'weighed'.

In short, a courtroom.

Tribbie led the way. She relied on the floor plan of Janus' Temple to find the area where the priests hid Talanton's Coreflame.

Unfortunately, the trio were unlucky.

"Halt! Who goes there?!"

They happened to bump into an entire squadron of soldiers.

"You! Identify yourself!"

One of the soldiers pointed his spear to Shi Tian. The latter disregarded his warnings as he opened the thin metallic booklet on his right waist. A card slid to his fingers.

"Just a passing by Traveller. Remember that."

Click-!

An overexaggerated, lousy announcement voice resounded around them.

"D-D-Decade!"

While the soldiers were bewildered, Shi Tian's appearance already changed. A flash of light flew past. A Magenta Jumpsuit replaced his former Merlin's white robe (downsized). The transformation took less than a second.

Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw the somewhat outlandish outfit from nowhere.

"Attack Ride: Illusion."

One Magenta Jumpsuit man instantly turned into five. All of them did the same action.

"Attack Ride: Slash."

The same announcer voice rang.

To their shock…

Boom-!

Boom-!

Boom-!

The ordinary soldiers instantly caught fire and explosions. The unscientific act made Shi Tian more comical…

"Woah!"

…something liked by Trianne.

Thud-!

In no time, the soldiers fell to the ground, unconscious.

"I used the right force to make them unconscious. The explosions are no biggies, just special effects."

Tribbie looked at him with a doubtful look, though she chose not to press the matter further.

"Let's go. I can only stay for eight more minutes."
