Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: IT FELT AMAZING.

Due to her pregnancy, Claire could only wear flat shoes, but her golden dress shimmered brilliantly in the sunlight, highlighting her graceful figure.

Her jewelry was countless; she seemed eager to wear every valuable piece she owned to flaunt her wealth.

In contrast, Ariana wore a simple black-and-white tracksuit.

She hadn't even bothered with makeup, presenting a bare face.

Seeing Ariana's down-to-earth appearance, Claire felt secretly pleased, she walked over, maintaining her smile.

"Sis, it's great to see you here! Mom and Dad have been missing you, why haven't you come home?"

Ariana gave Claire a once-over from head to toe, "there's no one else around, you can drop the act."

Claire's expression froze for a moment, then she dropped the pretense, "are you here to see Young Master Firestone too?"

"I don't need to tell you that."

With that, Ariana moved to enter the building, but Claire caught up with her.

"Dressed like that, you're just going to embarrass yourself in front of Young Master Firestone, he's the prince of the Capital, the heir to the Firestone family. Dressed like this, he won't even give you a glance!"

Ariana ignored Claire.

The man at the entrance stopped them, "please show your membership card."

"I didn't bring my membership card," Ariana replied.

Claire burst into laughter, "oh, sister, everyone says you're so capable, but you didn't even do the basic research before coming here, the Royal Racecourse Club is members-only, no membership card, no entry."

The suited man at the door nodded seriously. "That's correct, ma'am, without a membership card, we can't let you in."

Claire smiled sweetly, "the lowest membership tier here has an annual fee of three million."

She held up three fingers, looking smugly at Ariana.

Without the support of the Summer family, Ariana was nothing!

Claire pulled a card from her designer bag and handed it to the suited receptionist.

After a quick scan, the receptionist respectfully said, "Miss, please come in."

Claire quickly turned to Ariana, "sister, don't waste your trip, want me to take you in?"

Watching Claire's smug expression, Ariana felt the urge to slap herself.

When she first came to the family, Claire couldn't believe how kind she had been to her, how did she even deserve it?

"Sorry, miss, your membership card only allows one guest," the suited receptionist reminded her.

The Royal Racecourse Club had different membership levels, lower-tier members could only bring one guest, while higher-tier members could bring more.

Claire's card was the lowest tier.

"Oh dear, sis, what a shame! I really wanted to bring you in, but my assistant has to come with me, so there's no room left, sorry," Claire said, feigning regret.

She was thrilled, ever since joining the family, she had played the weak and pitiful role, never once having the upper hand over Ariana, this moment was exhilarating.

"If you head back now, you might still catch the bus, if you wait any longer, you might be stuck," Claire added with a smirk.

Ariana had left the house on foot, without taking anything, not even her car keys, Claire was sure that without the Summer family, Ariana had nothing.

Ariana rolled her eyes, "don't worry about me, I can get in myself."

"Don't be so stubborn," Claire taunted.

Finally, it was her assistant who nudged Claire to go inside and she decided to enter.

Claire was curious and wanted to see how Ariana would manage to get in, she knew her sister well; Ariana was full of clever tricks and might even sneak in by climbing over the wall.

Claire decided to wait and report her if she tried that, watching the staff kick Ariana out would be so satisfying!

Meanwhile, Ariana took out her phone and opened her photo gallery, finding a picture. "I forgot my membership card, but I have a QR code here."

Many members often forgot their cards and it was a hassle, so, the Royal Racecourse Club had introduced a mini-program where members could access a QR code if they forgot their card, allowing them entry.

The suited receptionist quickly scanned the code and was wide-eyed with surprise.

Her membership was the highest tier!

Of course, the card wasn't hers; it belonged to her business partner, who loved horseback riding, Ariana would occasionally come along for fun.

"Could you please provide your phone number?"

Ariana promptly gave a number and the receptionist immediately called for a car over the intercom.

"How should I address you?"

"Just call me Summer."

"Welcome, Miss Summer, please get in the car and let us know if you need anything."

Ariana hopped onto the shuttle bus, flashing a sly smile at Claire as she passed by.

Claire was furious, her face turning green with anger, how did she get in?

She stormed over to the suited receptionist, demanding answers, "you let her in! what kind of trick did she pull on you?"

The receptionist remained indifferent, "Miss Summer had a membership card."

Claire was incredulous, "I was watching her the whole time, she never showed a card! and why does she get to ride the shuttle while I don't?"

The receptionist patiently explained, "Our highest-level members receive shuttle service."

"Highest level? no way! she must have seduced you to let her in through the back door!"

The receptionist was done explaining, "ma'am, please don't disturb my work."

Claire stomped her foot in frustration, she was convinced Ariana must have bribed the guy somehow, Ariana always loved taking the unconventional route!

Somehow, she had managed to sneak in!

Claire couldn't waste any more time and headed straight to the stables,

she really hadn't expected it to be so far and with the heat, she was sweating in no time.

"I'm so tired, why is it so far?"

But there was no other choice, she had to keep walking step by step.

A shuttle bus passed by and she quickly waved it down, "how much for a ride?"

She was too exhausted to walk any further.

"18888."

When Claire heard that number, her eyes widened, "are you guys robbing people?"

The Royal Racecourse club was indeed a place of high expenses, with membership cards starting at three million, so a shuttle ride costing 18888 was actually the norm.

"If you can't afford it, don't ride," the driver said, about to drive off.

Claire gritted her teeth, accepting the rip-off, she couldn't walk any further anyway.

So, with a pained heart, she paid the 18888 and finally got on the bus.

Once she arrived, Claire first headed to the restroom to touch up her makeup and tidy herself up.

Ariana pulled out her prepared design proposal, giving it one last check.

Networking and backdoor entries were one thing, but she knew she needed to have real skills too.

This was the design she had worked on overnight for SUN's development project.

She put the design away, waiting for the right moment to present it.

Meanwhile, at the racetrack, a man sat on a bench at the edge, playing on his phone.

Lucas' childhood friend James, was always full of surprises.

Lucas, dressed in a sleek black riding outfit, exuded an aristocratic aura, his deep-set eyes made him look like a stoic knight stepping out of a Western painting.

"Hey, check out the beauty over there," James suddenly remarked, glancing towards the distance.

Lucas immediately spotted Ariana!
