Chapter 143 - Chapter 140 – The Jingguo Public Toilet Is Completed, Villagers Line Up in a Long Queue!

"Captain, according to your request, the Jingguo Public Toilet has been fully completed. Do you think it meets your satisfaction?"

At the entrance of a brand-new public toilet located in Konoha's busiest commercial street, Moonlight Hayate stood respectfully before his captain, Hatake Kakashi. His voice carried both pride and relief.

From the day Kakashi had assigned him the unusual task of supervising the construction of a public toilet, Hayate had thrown himself into it with almost military zeal. He had practically lived at the site for three straight weeks—squatting, inspecting, double-checking.

There were even several occasions when he had pretended to leave, only to circle back secretly with a Body Flicker Technique. Hidden in the shadows, he would spy on the construction workers, making sure no one dared to cut corners or slack off.

The workers, under such constant and suffocating supervision, did not dare waste a single moment. Every brick was placed with utmost care, every wooden beam hammered in with perfect precision. None of them wanted to risk Hayate's cold glare—or worse, a report to Captain Kakashi.

And so, under his almost devilish watch, the once seemingly impossible task had been accomplished. In just three short weeks, the Jingguo Public Toilet stood tall and complete, its freshly painted walls gleaming under the sunlight.

Kakashi stood silently for a moment, his visible eye scanning the structure. His gaze stopped at the enormous signboard above the entrance, written in bold characters: "Jingguo Public Toilet."

But what stood out even more was the bronze statue in front of the entrance. It was a statue of Danzo, forever immortalized in a humiliating kneeling position. The figure bowed low, head pressed against the ground, as if in eternal submission.

A faint chuckle escaped Kakashi's lips, and he nodded.

"Mm. Not bad at all."

Then, as if remembering something, his tone sharpened.

"Oh, right. Place a stone tablet next to that statue. On it, inscribe every single one of Danzo's crimes. Every visitor who comes here should know what he did. Let them read it before they… relieve themselves."

Hayate blinked, surprised at the level of detail. But Kakashi wasn't done.

"And make sure the inscription states clearly: the moment anyone steps into this public toilet, it will be considered as their acknowledgment of Danzo's guilt."

Hayate's eyes widened, and he pounded his chest with a fist.

"Don't worry, Captain! Leave it to me—I will carry out your orders without fail!"

Truth be told, after these few weeks, his admiration for Kakashi had soared to an almost fanatical level. Everything the captain did, from the boldest strategies to the strangest requests, seemed brilliant to him.

So much so that even when he went out on dates with Uzuki Yugao, his beloved, he could not stop talking about Captain Kakashi.

Most couples, under such circumstances, would have quarreled already. But Yugao was different. Rather than being annoyed, she listened with sparkling eyes. After all, she too deeply respected Kakashi. Whenever Hayate praised their captain, she found herself joining in happily, almost as if they were competing to see who could exalt him more.

It wasn't an exaggeration—if the Anbu had more female members, a Kakashi Fan Club would have been founded long ago.

Of course, everyone in Anbu knew one thing: Kakashi's heart belonged to Nohara Rin. None of this admiration was romantic—it was pure respect for a leader they trusted wholeheartedly.

By afternoon, thanks to Hayate's relentless efficiency, the stone tablet had been erected. Its inscriptions, carved deeply into polished stone, listed Danzo's sins in harrowing detail. The tablet stood to the left of the kneeling statue, an eternal reminder of his legacy of treachery.

Kakashi inspected it with a nod of approval.

"Good. Now, summon all Anbu members. Have them spread the word to the villagers. Also, inform the Security Department and all clan heads. I expect this place to be overflowing with people—long queues for at least a month."

"Yes, Captain!"

Word spread like wildfire. Within hours, villagers crowded onto the commercial street, curiosity and outrage drawing them in.

An elderly man, respected by many commoners, stepped forward and read the stone tablet aloud. His voice was steady, yet filled with righteous fury as he recited Danzo's long list of crimes—betrayal, manipulation, human experimentation, assassinations, and conspiracies.

The crowd erupted. Faces twisted with anger, fists clenched. The weight of suppressed resentment burst forth as the truth was finally laid bare for all to see.

And so, one by one, villagers queued up before the public toilet. The line grew longer and longer, snaking down the street until it stretched for nearly a kilometer.

Inside the toilet stalls, every villager made sure to stomp heavily on the floorboards, as if venting their fury directly on Danzo himself. According to the inscription, the very wood used to build the stalls came from Danzo's tree-transformed body.

"Why wait in line so long if I don't get to stomp him a few times?" one man laughed bitterly, raising his foot high before slamming it down.

Remarkably, Danzo's wooden body, mutated by Hashirama's cells, proved nearly indestructible. Despite countless villagers stomping and venting their rage, it didn't break. If anything, it proved how Yamato was able to build entire houses out of Wood Release alone.

Not long after, the heads of every clan—except the four disgraced families—arrived with their clansmen. They too joined the endless line.

From the moment they received the Anbu's notice, they had understood the meaning behind it. This was no simple act—it was a chance to publicly declare their loyalty. Refusing to participate would be seen as siding with Danzo, and such hesitation would isolate them from Konoha's new order.

Thus, they came eagerly. The longer the queue, the better it appeared. Some clan leaders even wished for rainstorms, believing that enduring hardship while waiting would prove their sincerity all the more.

Soon, whispers spread through the village:

> "Captain Anbu invited all clan leaders to the toilet—

and every single one obeyed!"

The tale became legend, spreading from civilian to civilian, inflating Kakashi's reputation even higher. Among the common people, his name now carried both awe and affection.

As the crowds swarmed the toilet, Kakashi himself quietly left the bustling scene. His destination was Konoha Hospital, where Rin was resting.

When Rin heard the story, she burst into uncontrollable laughter, clutching her stomach as tears welled in her eyes.

"Hahaha, Kakashi, you're terrible! Who else would think of humiliating Danzo this way?"

Kakashi smiled softly, his gaze filled with warmth.

"Well, I thought of you. I wanted to help you vent the anger you carried."

Her laughter softened, and she gave him a playful look.

"Ohhh, so that's it, huh? Helping me vent my anger?"

"Why? You don't like it?" Kakashi teased, reaching out to lightly scratch her nose.

Rin's cheeks flushed as she suddenly leaned closer. "Ahem. Close your eyes first, and I'll tell you."

Curious, Kakashi obeyed, lowering his eyelids.

A moment later, he felt the softest brush against his lips—a kiss, fleeting and sweet. His eyes flew open just in time to see Rin darting away, face burning, as she shouted:

"This is what you owed me last time! Now we're even!"

But she hadn't run far before Kakashi appeared in front of her in an instant, cutting off her escape. His smirk widened.

"Oh? Tease me and then try to run away?"

Before she could answer, he scooped her into his arms and vanished with a Shunshin, reappearing deep within the quiet Konoha Forest.

Rin's heart raced wildly. "Y-You… what are you planning?"

Kakashi didn't reply with words. Instead, he lowered his head, pressing his lips firmly against hers.

"Mm~" A soft moan escaped her as her face turned crimson. Her hands trembled before instinctively wrapping around his waist, clinging tightly.

Time blurred. Leaves rustled above as they lost themselves in each other's warmth.

When at last Kakashi pulled back, Rin lay collapsed against his chest, breathing heavily, her expression dazed yet blissful.

Kakashi chuckled softly, brushing a stray lock of hair from her flushed face.

"So? Did you like it?"

"Oh, you're so annoying…" Rin mumbled shyly, turning her head away, too embarrassed to meet his gaze.

Kakashi leaned closer, his voice mischievous.

"Hmm… seems you haven't fully adapted yet. Guess we'll just have to practice a few more times."

Rin squealed in protest, but her laughter echoed through the forest, bright and tender.
