Han was quite nervous and frustrated that morning. Obviously, it was all a consequence of what had happened the night before, when Minho had ruined his New Year's ritual.
He stepped into the cafeteria, heading toward the counter where Mia—the girl he hated the most—was waiting for him.
"Hi Jisungie~" she greeted him with her aegyo, which made the brunette shiver.
"Hi Mia," he replied with a forced smile.
"What can I get you today?" she asked, stroking his hand with a smile.
"The usual, thanks." Han pulled his hand back, rolling his eyes.
"Coming right up!" she smiled before walking away to prepare his order.
Jisung sighed, pulling his phone from his jeans pocket. He unlocked it and checked his class schedule, finding out he had the first two periods free. He smiled and slipped the phone back into his pocket.
"Here you go! I hope you didn't miss me too much~" Mia winked, placing the tray in front of him.
The taller boy immediately noticed the note with her phone number. Every time she tried to give it to him, and every time he would discreetly throw it away—but now he was really tired of the whole ridiculous situation.
He picked up the piece of paper and handed it back to her. "I'm gay! I hope you can get that through your psychotic little head. Thanks for breakfast." He dropped the note, and before she could say a word, he walked off to find the couple.
He wandered around the cafeteria and eventually found them feeding each other like two completely lovestruck people.
"God, you're so sweet it's giving me diabetes," he said, placing the tray on the table and sitting down.
"Hey, Hannie." Seungmin greeted him with a wide smile, turning his attention to the brunette.
"I get it, you got laid last night, but could you tone it down a bit? I'd really appreciate it," he said, sipping his frappe and side-eyeing him.
"You're so salty this morning," Seungmin said, nudging his arm. "Nice to see you too, huh?"
"Yeah yeah, nice to see you too."
"Ji, what's up with you?"
"Nothing," he replied curtly, eating his cheesecake.
"Let me guess, Minho?"
"Yes, Seungmin! Who else do you think enjoys ruining my life?"
"What did he do this time? Let's hear it."
"First of all, he made up a rule that not even he follows."
"A rule? You guys seriously made rules?" Seungmin looked at him, confused.
"Haven't you guys outgrown the rule phase?" Hyunjin chimed in.
"That's what I said too. But since they're just basic cohabitation rules, I said fine. But not if he's the first to break them!" Han huffed.
"And which rule did he break?"
"The one where if either of us wants to have fun with someone, the other has to leave the room."
"I'm guessing he didn't?"
"Of course not! And do you know what excuse he gave?"
"No?"
"That I didn't tell him in advance. And then he used my own words against me. Is that normal to you?"
Hyunjin burst out laughing, "So all of this just because he didn't give you the room last night?"
"You have to understand, love, Han has this tradition—if you can even call it that—of hooking up with someone at the New Year's party. He thinks it brings him good luck," Seungmin explained.
"It was great luck, considering it was Bomin," Han looked at the two.
"Oh Bomin—wait, what!?" Seungmin stared at him in disbelief.
"You heard me right: Bomin." Han grinned proudly.
"That Bomin? Choi Bomin, the hottest guy in the university? That Greek god?"
"Exactly him," he smiled.
"God, you're so lucky. He's been my fantasy since I first stepped into this place. He's insanely sexy and so smart," Seungmin said dreamily.
"May I remind you that you're dating me, Kim Seungmin." Hyunjin growled jealously.
"Oh come on, love, you know I only have eyes for you." He turned to him, stroking his cheek.
"Didn't seem like it, you know?"
"I was just making a harmless comment about a guy," Seungmin smiled.
"And when I do the same with Jinyoung, you get mad."
"There's a big difference: Jinyoung is your ex, and Bomin doesn't even know I exist," he said seriously.
"Sorry Hyun, but Minnie's right. You should never bring up exes. It's not pleasant."
"It's not pleasant hearing your boyfriend making comments about another guy either," Hyunjin raised an eyebrow.
"It was just an innocent compliment, Hyun!" Seungmin looked at him.
"Which implied you'd happily get railed by him."
"That's what you said, not me," he said, raising his hands.
"Guys, come on, don't fight. You, stop commenting on other guys—no matter how innocent it seems—and you, stop talking about your ex."
"Hannie's right. Sorry, love," Seungmin smiled and kissed Hyunjin.
"Sorry too, baby," the blonde smiled, kissing him back.
"Back to being sweet, I see," Han chuckled.
"We always are," Seungmin smiled at him.
"Alright, let's head to class." Han stood up.
"Alright. See you later, babe," Seungmin said, giving his boyfriend a long kiss that the blonde returned, pulling him closer by the neck. Jisung waited, tapping his foot, making the two laugh.
"Later, baby," Hyunjin smiled before walking off down the hallways.
The two passed by Mia, who didn't waste a second. She ran up to the brunette, jumped on him, and pinned him while trying to kiss him.
"Mia! What the fuck, get off me!" the younger yelled, struggling to break free.
"No! Kiss me first, come on oppa~" she kept trying to get close to his face.
The younger lost his patience, threw her off, and glared at her. "Stay the hell away from me, you psycho!" he growled, making her jump.
He grabbed the taller boy's hand and dragged him out of that madhouse. He only started to feel calm again once they got to the classroom. They sat down, Han sighed while Seungmin burst out laughing.
"You're such a jerk, you know that?" he glared at him.
"Sorry Hannie, but that scene was epic," the other laughed.
"You're laughing, but she's seriously obsessed with me. She wants to turn me straight."
"Ew, straight," Seungmin wrinkled his nose.
"Right? She's been trying to get my attention since last year, even though I've told her time and time again that I'm gay and only into guys. But she doesn't get it—she's crazy."
"I noticed," Seungmin laughed, then grew serious. "If she ever crosses a line, tell me. We'll find a way to stop her."
"I hope it won't come to that. Thanks, Minnie." Han smiled, hugging him.
"Anytime, Hannie." He smiled back, returning the hug.
"Hey, we're here but we have the first two periods free."
"Oh, right. Library?"
"I'd say yes, but Hyun has practice and I want to go watch him," he gave him puppy eyes.
"Alright, alright. I'll go alone," Han chuckled, getting up.
"Thanks, Hannie." The taller boy smiled before running out of the classroom.
Han laughed, shook his head, and headed to the library. Once there, he grabbed a random book and flopped onto a beanbag to read. He got so absorbed in the psychology book that he didn't even notice someone sitting next to him.
"Jisung?"
Hearing his name, the shorter boy turned his head and was immediately captivated by Bomin's perfect face. He bit his lip and smiled, "Hey Bomin... uh, sorry about last night. My roommate likes being a jerk."
"Don't worry, sweetheart," Bomin smiled, leaning closer to him. "I actually came looking for you—to ask you to come over tonight."
"Oh really?" Han tried to suppress a mischievous grin.
The taller guy leaned in and bit his lip, "I don't give up easily. Especially not on you."
Han smirked, "Impatient, Choi?" he asked, noticing his hand gripping his thigh.
"Maybe," he chuckled. "I'll be waiting for you at 9 PM. Don't be late."
"Or what?" Han whispered, brushing their lips together.
"You'll see," Bomin said, wrapping a hand around his neck before kissing him passionately.
After a few minutes, Han pulled back. "See you tonight." And with a playful strut, he left the library. He headed to the basketball courts to find his best friend—he absolutely had to tell him the amazing news.
