The 2,000-foot godlike avatar wielded a sword of compressed divine energy as it looked down at the humans who defied its will.
Down below, the adventurers finally reacted.
"CAST EVERYTHING!" the guildmaster roared. His voice cracked at the shout.
"Kill it! Kill him! DROP HIM—NOW!"
Hundreds of hands rose in unison.
"Heavenfire Tempest!"
"Chain Exodus!"
"Dragonburst Rain!"
One after another, the spells were shot at the giant avatar.
However, Noah didn't flinch. He walked through the attacks.
One step, then two.
Every attack dissolved the moment it touched his form.
"W-Why isn't it working?"
"His body's eating the spells"
"Retreat! RETREAT…"
However, it was too late to run away.
Noah raised the blade and slashed it horizontally.
A glowing crescent wave of destruction ripped through the air. The first row of adventurers, forty men and women of Level 300 and above, were all vaporized without a scream. Not even ashes remained.
Ding!

Silence followed.
Then came the first scream.
And Noah moved again. He blinked forward.
The space around his god-avatar collapsed, and he emerged thirty meters forward mid-swing.
A second slash—this time from above.
He cleaved a wedge through the battlefield, rupturing the earth for miles. Ten elites tried to defend with simultaneous barrier spells.
"Cast Unity Wall!"
"Layer sixfold defense!"
The sword passed through as if it touched paper.
Another ten dead.

The guildmaster screamed. "Everyone, pull back. DEFENSIVE FORMATION!"
But they had no time to gather.
Noah's next move wasn't a sword. He simply roared like a beast.
The gluttaral roar emitted a soundwave that flattened dozens, rupturing eardrums and bursting eyes

And then…
BOOM!
The ground behind exploded.
Then came Taurus.
He roared, letting out a sound like a warhorn.
His body grew hundreds of feet, transforming into a giant bull with four golden rings looped around its snout.
His level crossed level-900, reaching the fourth stage of the transcendent realm.
"It's a monster," someone screamed.
The ground split beneath his hooves as it bellowed. "You are an existence that shouldn't exist in this world. Die."
The giant bull charged at the avatar.
Noah simply lifted the sword and stretched the other arm.
The divine avatar stopped the bull charge and then, with one deliberate, elegant movement, the blade cut downward to its neck.
"The Slash of Death."
Taurus froze mid-roar as the sword struck its neck, cleaving it into two parts.
The bull's head simply separated from its body and rolled on the ground.
The rest of the body exploded right then into a blinding flash of light, leaving behind a single broken sword fragment in the air.
It shimmered faintly, then drifted toward Noah's body.

Noah didn't blink. He only looked at the timer.
[00:41]
"A lot of time left."
And then… he started butchering them all.
Every. Single. One.
Level 300s screamed and ran, only to be sliced in passing. Level 400s banded together in circles of protection, but the sword carved through it all.
Some tried teleport scrolls.
They fizzled into smoke.
By the time twenty more seconds passed, not one remained alive. Noah didn't know who it was or what kind of power he was using. He just swung the sword randomly without a care, like destroying an army of ants.

Silence. That was all that was left. Not even a single corpse was left behind by the time the final chime echoed in Noah's head.

Noah stood still as the giant avatar flickered. Well, atleast for a while.
And when the 60th second ended, the avatar disappeared into nothing. Noah couldn't help but let out a long exhale. "Finally, it is done."
The once-flickering blue barrier that showed cracks was repaired on its own as natural energy gushed into it, its defense becoming sturdier than ever.
The tower pulsed, whole once more.
He opened his Character Tab. "Hmm… There's still 180k credits I need to earn to break even. Anyway, let's use the remaining one too."
"Use, Life Extension card."

Elsewhere…
In the underbelly of Nova Rhun, deep in the city's black district, a man ran through the corridors of an underground den, looking all panicked.
The gang leader of the Crimson Talons was half-dozing on his golden throne, wine in one hand, feet resting on a chained wyvern's head.
The messenger collapsed to his knees. "Milord…"
"What…" the gang leader said in a lazy tone.
The messenger gulped his saliva and said. "The Everglade Guild… It's gone."
The den fell quiet.
The gang leader squinted. "Gone? What do you mean?"
The messenger replied. "The Everglade guild, under the leadership of Lord Taurus, had gone to that mystical tower. There were a total of 124 elites, the Guildmaster, and the vice guild leader. Everyone… including Taurus ended up dead."
The goblet fell from the gang leader's hand.
He rose slowly, eyes wide.
"Taurus ended up dead?"
He stumbled, then caught himself on the throne's armrest. "There's no way he could have been defeated by Leo. Did Virgo fight alongside Leo? No, that's impossible…"
"Umm… Milord… It's not Lord Leo or Lady Virgo." The messenger reluctantly said. "It's… It's someone else."
As the messenger explained the appearance of the massive avatar, the gang leader fell into a daze. "T-Two thousand foot avatar…?"
He sat down hard, mumbling as if possessed. "Impossible… The Lord… he's awakened. But he shouldn't wake up this early."
A long pause.
The gang leader looked to the side of the room, toward a long, dusty scroll hanging behind a tattered banner of scales.
"I need to speak to Libra."
At the same time, somewhere unknown.
In a dimly lit chamber, a man was peacefully writing a book, in an old style, using a quill and ink.
He suddenly stops for a moment and mumbles. "Taurus… I can no longer sense his presence. Is it the Goddess of Destruction or is it…"
